What Is BLACK+DECKER?

BLACK+DECKER is part of the Stanley Black & Decker brand portfolio. Its Help Center covers power tools, cleaning products, outdoor products and cooling solutions.

Compare feedback about the same model and product type whenever possible. A complaint about a household appliance or vacuum should not automatically be applied to a drill or garden tool.

BLACK+DECKER Customer Reviews and Complaint Themes

Independent reviews describe product failures, leaking or nonworking items, dissatisfaction with warranty decisions and difficulty arranging replacements. These are customers’ accounts, not proof that every product has the same problem.

Look for the model number, purchase date, country and final outcome when assessing a review. Separate concerns about the seller, delivery, product performance and manufacturer support so the complaint reaches the team that can address it.

BLACK+DECKER Trustpilot Reviews

When checked September 17, 2026, the www.blackanddecker.com Trustpilot profile displayed a 1.4 out of 5 TrustScore from 413 reviews.

Voluntary reviews are self-selected and do not represent every purchaser. Product ranges and support arrangements can differ by country. This third-party score is separate from ratings readers submit to ZeroStars.

BLACK+DECKER BBB Complaints: Parent-Company Context

The Stanley Black & Decker BBB headquarters profile showed a B- rating and no BBB accreditation when checked September 17, 2026. Its complaints page displayed 144 complaints over three years and 51 closed in the previous 12 months.

These figures cover the parent company and include other brands; they are not BLACK+DECKER-only totals. Complaint counts do not measure product failure rates. BBB’s letter grade is also different from a customer star rating.

BLACK+DECKER Warranty: Check the Product’s Terms

The official warranty page describes two-year limited coverage for products that expressly carry it, for the original end-user purchaser and home use. Authorized-seller conditions apply. Normal wear, abuse, accidental damage and certain unauthorized repairs are excluded; accessories are not covered by this policy.

Some specifically marked products offer an additional three years. That extension requires registration with proof of purchase within 30 days of purchase or delivery, whichever is later. It excludes batteries, chargers and accessories. Missing that deadline does not remove the standard two-year coverage.

Read the warranty supplied with your exact model. Do not assume a general brand policy establishes coverage for every product carrying the name.

Batteries, Chargers and Cordless Tool Problems

For short runtime, charging problems or a tool that stops working, record the battery, charger and tool model numbers separately. Photograph their labels and note any indicator lights. Include the purchase date and describe the work being performed when the problem occurred.

Ask support which component needs evaluation and whether replacement, repair or further troubleshooting is appropriate. Obtain shipping instructions before sending a battery or charger, and retain the claim number.

Vacuum and Cleaning-Product Complaints

For a vacuum, steam cleaner or other cleaning product, identify whether the concern is suction, runtime, a missing attachment, leakage or an electrical fault. Use the model’s instructions for routine maintenance and describe what you have already checked.

For a missing accessory or damaged delivery, photograph the box contents and retain the order confirmation. Avoid ordering a replacement part based only on a similar product photograph; confirm compatibility with the exact model.

Repairs, Parts and Replacement Delays

BLACK+DECKER’s official support guidance directs service and parts inquiries to ServiceNet. Ask customer service for the appropriate route if your model cannot be found or is not eligible for the displayed process.

Before shipping, confirm what to include, where to send it and whether an estimate or inspection fee applies. Keep the service order and tracking details. If a replacement is delayed, request its status using the original case number and ask whether it is waiting on stock or further information.

Returns and Online Orders

If an order is missing, damaged or incorrect, start with the seller identified on the receipt. For purchases made directly through blackanddecker.com, the official site lists phone, chat and written support options.

A retailer’s return window and a manufacturer’s warranty claim are separate processes. Save the seller’s explanation if it refers you to the manufacturer, and tell support whether you are requesting an exchange, refund review, missing part or warranty assessment.

How to Escalate a BLACK+DECKER Complaint
  1. Collect the product model, date code, receipt, seller details and previous case number.
  2. Write a short timeline of the problem and any repair or replacement attempts.
  3. Attach photographs and relevant correspondence to a private support request.
  4. State the remedy requested and ask for a written response.
  5. If coverage is declined, request the product-specific policy and reason for the decision.
  6. Follow up on the existing case with any evidence that was missed.
