About Embody
Editorial information by Eric Strand, founder and publisher of ZeroStars. This guidance is separate from user-submitted customer reviews. Dated figures in this guidance are historical snapshots; the header shows the current published rating. Expand a topic to read more.
Overview
Embody reviews and complaints cover GLP-1 treatment orders, prescription fulfillment, recurring charges, cancellation, refunds and customer support. If you have used Embody, share your own experience, the plan you purchased and whether the company resolved your concern. Positive, neutral and negative accounts are welcome on the ZeroStars −5 to +5 scale.
This guide covers the telehealth platform at joinem.co, also referred to as EM or JoinEm. Its contact page identifies Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc. as the operator. Check the domain on your receipt: other products and businesses use the Embody name. Editorial guidance below is separate from reviews submitted directly to ZeroStars.
What Embody Customer Reviews Describe
The joinem.co Trustpilot profile includes favorable and unfavorable accounts. Selected reviews use these reported experience dates:
- Refill delay: Daryl Edwards, October 2, 2026, reported a prescription waiting at the pharmacy for approximately two weeks.
- Mixed experience: Rita Gunnoe, October 2, 2026, praised the initial consultation and delivery but described a delayed refill and difficulty obtaining a timeframe.
- Support and fulfillment: Erin Montgomery, October 2, 2026, reported an unresolved prescription concern and a later order that remained unfulfilled after resubmission.
- Positive clinician experience: Yvonne Noelle, October 2, 2026, said the appointment was on time and the doctor answered questions. Trustpilot labels this review invited.
- Positive communication: Fredericka Watkins, October 2, 2026, praised the provider’s professionalism and explanations. This review is also labeled invited.
These are individual accounts, not independently established findings or a representative survey. The profile notes that reviews from other company profiles were merged into it. Third-party ratings do not contribute to the ZeroStars rating above, and testimonials do not establish a treatment’s effectiveness.
Embody Pricing and Recurring Billing
Confirm the exact program before paying. The pages checked on October 3, 2026 describe different offers:
| Official page or program | Published pricing information |
|---|---|
| Homepage | Advertises GLP-1 injections starting at $79/month and GLP-1/GIP injections starting at $129/month. Its FAQ says the price remains unchanged for the same medication and treatment plan. |
| Terms: Embody Start | Lists promotional first-month pricing followed by a higher monthly amount. Examples: semaglutide injection $99, then $299/month; tirzepatide injection $149, then $399/month. |
| Terms: Embody Flat | Describes fixed pricing with commitment-based discounts; lists semaglutide injection at $199/month for the monthly option. |
These are dated examples from the published pages, not a quote for every patient. Ask support which offer applies, how much is charged today, the next charge amount and date, and whether a displayed monthly rate requires a larger upfront payment. Save the checkout disclosure and confirmation.
The terms authorize recurring billing and say charges appear as Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc. Compare an unexpected charge with your enrollment record and ask support to identify the plan and billing period it covers.
Embody Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Cancellation & Refund Policy, dated August 25, 2026, requires cancellation requests at least 72 hours before the next billing date to stop that charge. Requests inside that window take effect for the subsequent cycle. It permits cancellation through support or the patient portal.
The policy treats payments as final, including unused portions of multi-month plans and periods with unshipped medication. It states a provider-initiated medical-disqualification exception: the unused amount may be refunded after deducting services already provided. It describes replacement, rather than refund, for damaged or incorrect items.
The homepage FAQ instead describes cancellation before the next shipment. Because the published instructions differ, request cancellation promptly and obtain written confirmation of the effective date and future billing status.
Separately identify any paid order for which you are requesting a refund or correction. Save the offer and terms shown when you enrolled and ask support to explain its decision and any deductions. This describes the seller’s policy, not a determination of legal rights in an individual dispute.
Prescription Fulfillment, Shipping and Missed Refills
A paid order, clinical approval, pharmacy fulfillment and carrier delivery are different stages. For a delayed shipment, ask support which stage your order has reached, which pharmacy is handling it and whether a carrier has received the package. Request a concrete next step and an updated estimate.
Keep the payment confirmation, prescription messages, promised timeframe and tracking history together. If an order was canceled or resubmitted, ask whether that created a duplicate order, subscription or charge. Keep account corrections separate from clinical decisions.
If a refill delay interrupts treatment, contact your prescribing clinician for instructions. Do not guess how to restart, increase a dose or compensate for a missed dose based on another customer’s review.
Compounded GLP-1 Medication and Safety Questions
The Embody website markets compounded medication and identifies OpenLoop Health as providing medical treatment. The FDA explains that compounded GLP-1 drugs are not FDA approved and are not reviewed by the agency for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. It recommends their use only when a patient’s medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug.
The FDA also reports dosing errors with compounded products and advises discussing measurement and administration with the prescriber or compounder. If your label, concentration or instructions differ from a previous prescription, ask the clinician and dispensing pharmacist to resolve the discrepancy before use. Do not convert another person’s syringe units into your own dose.
The FDA advises against using injectable GLP-1 medication that arrives warm or with insufficient refrigeration. Photograph the package and contact the dispensing pharmacy and care team. Suspected adverse events or quality problems can be reported through the FDA’s MedWatch guidance linked above. For a medical emergency, call 911.

Sources and Editorial Review
Sources checked: October 3, 2026. Primary sources include the Embody website, contact page, terms and cancellation and refund policy. Selected customer accounts come from Trustpilot; medication context comes from the FDA guidance linked above. ZeroStars has not used the service, tested its medication or independently verified the reported outcomes. Published pricing and cancellation differences remain important limitations.

Embody FAQs
How do I contact Embody about a complaint?
Call 347-269-4270 or email support@joinem.co, as listed on the official contact page. Send treatment questions through the private patient portal.
Is Embody the same service as joinem.co?
Yes. The company contact page identifies Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc. as the operator of Embody at joinem.co. Match that domain and operator to your receipt.
Will my Embody price increase after the first month?
The terms distinguish promotional Start pricing from Flat pricing. Confirm your program and renewal amount rather than assuming an advertised starting rate applies indefinitely.
Does canceling Embody automatically refund an order?
No. The published policy separates cancellation of future billing from refunds and includes a medical-disqualification exception. Ask for a written decision on any paid-order request.
Are compounded GLP-1 medications FDA approved?
No. The FDA’s guidance explains this distinction. Approval of a brand-name medication does not mean a compounded version has received the same approval.
