Overview
Primark reviews and complaints can concern many products and store experiences. This guide focuses on the U.S. recall of one children’s coin purse and how to document a refund request.
Quick answer: Match the product to the official recall before planning a return. Keep a record of the store visit and distinguish a refund request from a refund received.
Stop using affected purses and keep them away from children. CPSC recall 27-028, dated October 15, 2026, concerns elevated phthalate levels in Primark’s 101 Dalmatians faux-leather coin purse, model 2595301.
Check the Purse and Product Tag
CPSC describes a black purse with Dalmatian artwork and identifies the model number on the tag attached to the zip puller. Compare your item with the official product and tag photographs; the illustration on this page is generic.
The notice covers about 2,100 purses sold March–June 2026 at Primark stores in the Northeast and in Florida, Maryland and Illinois. No incidents or injuries were reported.
The Published Refund Route
CPSC directs owners to return affected purses to a Primark store for a full refund in the original payment method. Recall support is 617-946-3236, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern, with updates linked from Primark’s recall page.
The reviewed notice does not specify a receipt requirement, return deadline or mail-in alternative. If your original payment method is unavailable or you cannot reach a store, ask the recall contact for instructions before making a trip or sending anything.
Prepare a Useful Store or Support Record
Keep the essentials together: Save a photo of your item and tag, the purchase record if you have it, and the recall reference. Note the store, visit date and what staff asked you to provide. Keep any return receipt until the payment outcome is clear.
If the request is unresolved, write a short follow-up explaining what happened, what information has already been supplied and what decision is still needed. Ask for the next step and a reference number. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly without explaining the earlier contact.
Evidence and Customer Experiences
This is an official-recall help guide. No recent firsthand recall accounts or completed customer refunds were independently verified for publication. The recall does not establish an overall customer satisfaction score. Primark’s help page required JavaScript and its detailed text was not independently readable; the remedy above is grounded in CPSC’s notice. Support calls were not tested.
Share Your Primark Experience
Positive, neutral and negative firsthand experiences are welcome through the −5 to +5 reader review system. Describe what you bought, approximately when, the support route you tried and the outcome you actually received. Distinguish a submitted request, a promised remedy and money received. Keep order numbers, addresses and payment details private. ZeroStars does not assign a rating before readers submit reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Primark Frequently Asked Questions
What if the tag is missing?
Ask the recall team to help identify the item using photographs and any purchase information available. A missing tag does not justify guessing a model number.
What should I record if a refund is promised?
Keep the date, method, expected timing and written acknowledgement. Record payment separately when it actually appears. Do not post an unredacted payment receipt publicly.
Does this guide cover every Primark product?
No. The recall section addresses the identified purse. Readers may describe other firsthand Primark experiences, but this notice should not be applied to unrelated merchandise.
