Overview

Mitsubishi reviews and complaints can concern a vehicle, dealership visit, warranty decision or connected-car subscription. This guide covers Mitsubishi Motors in the United States, not Mitsubishi Electric appliances, heating and cooling equipment or other businesses using the Mitsubishi name.

ZeroStars is independent and is not affiliated with Mitsubishi Motors or its dealers. A review here does not open a service appointment, warranty claim or manufacturer complaint.

Quick answer: Start with the servicing dealer for a repair concern, then use Mitsubishi Motors’ official contact route if you need manufacturer assistance. Have the model year, mileage and repair order available privately.

How Do I Contact Mitsubishi Motors in the US?

The official US contact page, checked October 25, 2026, lists 888-648-7820 for general inquiries. Use the official dealer locator to identify a service department and its current contact details.

For a repair, ask the dealer’s service adviser or manager what was diagnosed, which work was authorized and what remains outstanding. If manufacturer assistance is needed, explain the unresolved point and request a case reference. A dealership’s sales, repair and financing transactions should be identified separately.

Keep your VIN, registration, full address and account details private. A public review usually needs the model year, approximate mileage, service date and outcome, not a complete set of vehicle documents.

What Does the Mitsubishi Warranty Cover?

The current US warranty overview describes a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty with original-owner restrictions. It is not a promise that every part is covered for that period. The overview says subsequent owners receive the remaining 5-year/60,000-mile new-vehicle limited warranty; applicable terms and exclusions still matter.

Check the warranty booklet for your model year, original in-service date, ownership history and the component involved. Time and mileage limits operate on a whichever-comes-first basis where specified. Coverage may differ for particular vehicles, components and uses.

Ask the dealer to identify the provision supporting a coverage decision and whether the proposed work is a warranty repair, a paid repair or goodwill assistance. Keep those descriptions distinct. A goodwill offer does not necessarily mean the manufacturer accepted a defect claim.

What Should I Keep When a Repair Is Delayed or Disputed?

Collect the repair orders, diagnosis, mileage at each visit, authorization records and promised updates. Describe the symptom in your own words and distinguish it from the technician’s diagnosis. If a part is delayed, ask whether it has been ordered and what next update is expected.

Request written clarification about rental transportation, towing or reimbursement before assuming those costs will be paid. Record who approved an expense, any limit and the receipts required. A vehicle’s warranty status alone does not answer every reimbursement question.

Build a repair timeline: Record when the concern appeared, each service visit, the diagnosis, work completed and whether the symptom returned. Ask for one specific next step, such as an inspection, written coverage explanation or update on a part.

Is Mitsubishi Connect Support a Different Route?

Yes. The Mitsubishi Connect support guide lists 888-564-1411 for US customer care. Its scope includes account registration, subscription cancellation, remote functions and technical concerns with the connected service.

For an app or subscription issue, note the vehicle, app version, renewal date, error message and earlier case number. A connected-service complaint is different from a mechanical diagnosis; ask which team is responsible before repeating account changes or paying again.

How Can I Check a Mitsubishi Recall?

Use the NHTSA recall lookup and the manufacturer’s owner resources. NHTSA explains that a VIN search can identify certain unrepaired safety recalls for a specific vehicle, while a model search provides broader information.

A result showing no unrepaired recalls is not a diagnosis or a guarantee that the vehicle has no problem. The lookup has limitations, including some newly announced campaigns and previously repaired recalls. Keep a current warning or symptom separate from the recall result and arrange appropriate assessment.

What Do Selected Mitsubishi Reviews Show?

Two selected BBB exchanges show different stages of follow-up. In an October 2026 connected-service case, Mitsubishi described escalation and the customer accepted the response. That does not independently confirm restored service. In a September 2026 radar-bracket dispute, the company disagreed about the cause but offered a goodwill repair; completion was not established in the displayed exchange.

Older Trustpilot accounts include a February 2022 repair and warranty complaint and a May 2020 report praising long-term ownership. They are historical experiences, not evidence about every current model.

These are four displayed accounts across two platforms. We did not authenticate identities, vehicles, diagnoses or completed repairs, and the accounts are not a representative reliability study or verified incident count.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Mitsubishi Motors the right contact for an air conditioner?

This page concerns Mitsubishi Motors vehicles. Check the equipment’s manufacturer and service documents for the appropriate heating, cooling or electronics business.

Does every used Mitsubishi retain the full 10-year powertrain coverage?

No. The advertised program has ownership restrictions. Review the model-year booklet, ownership history and remaining coverage instead of assuming the original-owner term transfers.

Can I report good service or a resolved problem?

Yes. Include the dealer or service channel, relevant dates and the final outcome. Update your account if a repair or reimbursement was later completed. ZeroStars welcomes negative, neutral and positive firsthand experiences.

Editorial note: Sources checked October 25, 2026. This is independently researched US contact and ownership guidance, not a vehicle inspection or determination of warranty eligibility. Third-party claims remain attributed reports and do not become ZeroStars ratings.
