The Range is a major UK and Ireland retailer selling furniture, home furnishings, garden products, decorating supplies, DIY items, crafts, appliances and seasonal merchandise. This page examines The Range reviews and complaints involving stores, online orders, deliveries, refunds, product quality, furniture and third-party Marketplace sellers.
Quick Verdict: The Range is an established retailer operated by CDS (Superstores International) Limited, but customer experiences are sharply divided. Some shoppers report affordable products, straightforward ordering, helpful store employees and successful deliveries. The current ZeroStars reviews are predominantly negative, however, with recurring complaints involving missing or delayed orders, difficulty obtaining refunds, damaged products, Marketplace sellers and limited access to customer support when something goes wrong.
The Range Reviews and Complaints
As of July 21, 2026, The Range has 34 published ZeroStars reviews and an overall rating of -3.4 stars.
The existing reviews provide a strongly negative picture overall, although there are a few positive and mixed experiences. Because ZeroStars uses a scale from -5 to +5, this rating cannot be directly compared with a conventional one-to-five-star score.
Most Common Positive Feedback
The smaller number of positive and mixed ZeroStars reviews mention:
Products that represented reasonable value for money;
Orders that eventually arrived in good condition;
Helpful individual employees;
Successful in-store purchases;
A broad selection of home and garden merchandise; and
Affordable prices on some products.
Most Common The Range Complaints
The most frequently recurring complaints in the submitted ZeroStars reviews concern:
Late or missing deliveries: Reviewers describe orders being repeatedly rescheduled, failing to arrive or being marked as delivered when the customer said nothing had been received.
Refund delays: Several reviewers report having to make repeated contacts before receiving or attempting to obtain a refund.
Difficulty reaching customer service: Reviews commonly describe automated responses, chat systems and difficulty reaching a person who could resolve the problem.
Damaged or faulty products: Customers mention scratched, rusty, broken, incomplete or otherwise defective items.
Furniture complaints: Sofas, beds, chairs, mirrors and garden furniture appear repeatedly in complaints involving quality, missing parts, delivery or returns.
Marketplace confusion: Some customers say they did not initially understand that an online product was sold and dispatched by a third-party seller.
Individual store experiences: Reviews include complaints about staff interactions, store conditions, safety concerns and unsuccessful attempts to escalate a problem.
These themes summarize reviews submitted to ZeroStars. They do not prove that every store, product, delivery or customer-service interaction will produce the same result.
The Range Trustpilot Reviews
As of July 21, 2026, Trustpilot displays approximately 300,000 reviews for The Range and an overall score of about 3.4 out of 5.
The distribution is divided. More than half of the reviews are rated five stars, while more than one-quarter are rated one star. Positive reviewers frequently discuss ordering, delivery, helpful employees and value. Negative reviewers commonly discuss delivery failures, damaged merchandise, product quality, customer support and refunds.
Trustpilot and ZeroStars should be viewed separately:
Trustpilot uses a conventional one-to-five-star system and contains a much larger review sample.
ZeroStars allows ratings from -5 through +5 and currently has a smaller but strongly negative sample.
Neither review platform independently proves every factual allegation made by a reviewer.
The Range is a legitimate and established retailer, but whether it is a good choice may depend on what you are buying and how the order will be fulfilled.
Lower-risk purchases may include ordinary in-store products that the customer can inspect before paying. More caution may be appropriate when ordering:
Large furniture that is expensive or difficult to return;
Made-to-order products;
Items supplied by a third-party Marketplace seller;
Products requiring assembly;
Garden furniture that will be exposed to weather;
Items with long estimated delivery periods; or
Products needed by a specific deadline.
Before ordering, check the seller, estimated delivery date, return method, dimensions, warranty information and whether the item can be returned to a local store.
The Range Store Reviews: Loudwater, Drogheda and Other Locations
People frequently search for reviews of individual The Range locations, including Loudwater, Drogheda, Christchurch and Ashbourne.
Local store reviews can be useful because staffing, stock availability, parking, collection services and store conditions may vary considerably from one branch to another. A review of one branch should not automatically be attributed to every The Range location.
The company’s official store finder currently includes:
The Range Loudwater: Unit E, Knaves Beech Business Centre, Loudwater, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP10 9QR;
The Range Drogheda: Drogheda Retail Park, Donore Road, Rathmullan, Drogheda, County Meath A92 V189;
The Range Christchurch: Unit 1B, Christchurch Retail Park, Barrack Road, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 2BN; and
The Range Ashbourne: Waterside Business Park, Clifton Road, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 1DG.
Use the official The Range Store Finder to confirm the address, telephone number, opening hours and facilities for a particular location.
The Range Furniture Reviews
Furniture is one of the most important categories to research carefully because delivery, assembly and return costs can be substantial.
ZeroStars reviewers have submitted complaints involving:
Sofas that did not arrive by the expected date;
Garden furniture described as damaged or deteriorating;
Furniture delivered with mismatched components;
Missing or damaged bed parts;
Rust, scratches or other condition problems;
Difficulty arranging collection; and
Charges associated with returning large Marketplace items.
Before Ordering Furniture From The Range
Confirm whether the product is sold by The Range or a Marketplace Partner.
Measure entrances, stairs and the intended room.
Check whether the item is made to order.
Read the product-specific return instructions.
Check who pays for collection if you change your mind.
Save the product description, photographs and estimated delivery date.
Inspect every component promptly after delivery.
Photograph damaged packaging and product defects before assembly.
The Range Garden Furniture Reviews and Complaints
Garden furniture appears repeatedly in the current ZeroStars feedback. Complaints mention delivery delays, damaged or mismatched components, deterioration and difficulty receiving assistance after the purchase.
The experience may differ significantly between product ranges. Before purchasing a rattan set, gazebo, patio table, fire pit or outdoor sofa:
Read reviews for the exact model rather than The Range generally;
Check the materials and weather-resistance instructions;
Confirm whether covers or winter storage are recommended;
Check the guarantee or warranty period;
Keep the order confirmation and assembly instructions; and
Report missing, damaged or mismatched parts promptly.
The Range Marketplace Complaints
The Range Marketplace allows outside sellers to list products through The Range’s website. Marketplace products should be identified on the product page.
For Marketplace purchases, the contract of sale may be with the Marketplace Partner rather than directly with The Range. The seller may be responsible for processing the return, cancellation or refund, although the customer generally begins the support process through The Range’s website.
This distinction can affect:
Whether the product can be returned to a Range store;
Where the return must be sent;
Whether a collection fee applies;
Who authorizes the return;
Who processes the refund; and
How long resolution takes.
Look for wording such as “sold and dispatched by a Range Marketplace Partner” before placing the order. Save the seller’s name and the product page in case the listing later changes.
The Range Delivery Complaints
Delivery is the most consistent complaint theme in the current ZeroStars reviews. Reported problems include:
Repeatedly changing delivery dates;
Orders that did not arrive;
Parcels shown as delivered but not located;
Different parts of an order arriving separately;
Damaged products or packaging;
Communication problems involving couriers; and
Difficulty determining whether The Range, a seller or the courier was handling the issue.
What to Do When a Range Order Is Missing
Check the complete order because products may have separate tracking numbers.
Review the tracking history and delivery photograph.
Check entrances, safe places and immediate neighbours.
Take screenshots of any delivered status you dispute.
Contact The Range through its official order-support route.
Provide the order number, product, expected date and tracking information.
Ask for a written case or reference number.
Keep records of every chat, email and promised resolution date.
The retailer or Marketplace seller should generally remain the customer’s primary contact concerning the order. Customers should not be left to resolve the contractual problem exclusively with the courier.
The Range Returns and Refunds
The current return procedure depends on how and where the item was purchased.
Online Change-of-Mind Returns
For qualifying online purchases, The Range says customers must notify it of their intention to return the item within 14 days of receiving it. The customer then has a further 14 days to return the item or arrange collection.
Products must generally be unused and in a suitable condition. Made-to-order products and some other categories may be excluded from the standard change-of-mind policy.
In-Store Purchases
The company’s voluntary policy for ordinary in-store change-of-mind returns may differ from the rules for online purchases. Keep the receipt and inspect the product promptly.
Marketplace Returns
Marketplace products may not be accepted at a Range store. Follow the product-specific return instructions and obtain authorization before posting or arranging collection.
Faulty or Misdescribed Products
Change-of-mind policies do not replace applicable consumer rights. UK consumers may have legal remedies when goods are faulty, misdescribed or not fit for their intended purpose.
When reporting a faulty item:
Explain the defect clearly;
State when it was purchased and when the problem appeared;
Provide photographs or video when useful;
Keep proof of purchase;
State the resolution you are requesting; and
Keep the product unless instructed how and where to return it.
Select whether the complaint concerns an order, store, website or app.
Include the complete order number and seller’s name.
Explain the problem in chronological order.
Attach photographs, tracking evidence or screenshots.
State the resolution you are seeking.
Request a written response and case number.
Follow up in writing if the promised response date passes.
For an in-store experience, use The Range’s official store-feedback form or contact the individual branch using the telephone number shown in the store finder.
Consumers who remain unable to resolve a faulty-goods or refund dispute can seek independent guidance through the appropriate UK consumer-advice service. Keep in mind that deadlines may apply to card disputes, chargebacks and other remedies.
Have you purchased furniture, garden products, home furnishings or another item from The Range? You can leave a ZeroStars review below.
A useful review should explain:
The store or website used;
The approximate purchase date;
The exact type of product;
Whether The Range or a Marketplace Partner sold it;
The expected and actual delivery dates;
The product’s condition when received;
What happened when you contacted support;
Whether a replacement, return or refund was requested; and
How the matter was ultimately resolved.
Reviews should describe genuine firsthand experiences. Do not post order numbers, tracking codes, private addresses, card details, employee contact information or other sensitive data.
Rate The Range From -5 to +5 Stars
Use the ZeroStars scale to rate your genuine experience:
🔴 -5 Stars: Severe problems or an extremely negative experience
🟠 0 Stars: A neutral, mixed or inconclusive experience
🟢 +5 Stars: An exceptionally positive experience
Choose a rating that reflects your complete experience, including the product, value, ordering process, delivery, store service and handling of any problem.
ZeroStars separates information published by a company from reviews submitted by customers. We summarize recurring themes only when they are supported by reviews visible on the listing.
We also preserve mixed and positive experiences rather than presenting every company as entirely good or entirely bad. Our -5 to +5 scale gives reviewers room to describe severe problems, neutral outcomes and exceptionally positive service.

Rating: Title: ⛔⛔⛔⛔⛔ Review: TRULY DISGUSTING!!!!!
Google: The Range, Kings Heath, Birmingham
Just read the many negative reviews
Staff will at the drop of hat verbally assault/abuse a customer; this was done to me and others.
Manager, floor staff (not all but most; esp. those young and Pakistani) and security are a law unto themselves and you can easily face all manner of verbal and even physical abuses as a customer at that store. Even the security do not show any ID which in mandatory under UK and SIA law. Merely unintelligent inexperienced untrained and unlawful types employed to deal with incidents and customers.
I would strongly advise you find some other store to shop at, it\'s truly terrible due to the staff they recruit and allow to be let loose on customers. Staff who insult, provoke and attack when confronted.
Really, is it worth it given all the negative reviews? Name: Anonymous

Several emails and weeks later I’m still fighting to get my payment back with continued excuses and poor customer service. Went on click to chat to ask about how I get a price match, was told to go in store.
Back to the store I go, no sorry can’t help you, speak to customer service.
Back to customer service, no we can’t help you - it’s a Wilko product.
Tried escalating as this was getting beyond a joke and a huge waste of my time and money.

Rating: Title: Trip Hazards in Store - Head Office dont care Review: We went to the Falkirk store to look at a mirror my daughter wanted, when there and looking at other things in several aisles I heard my wife shout out and found out that she had tripped over two plastic tubs that were left in the aisles, she thinks she pulled her stomach and was worried as in November she had part of her bowel out because of Bowel Cancer. This was not the only trip hazard in this store as in a couple of other aisles there were basket holders without baskets blocking the aisles and placing a trip hazard there. I have complained to the CEO and have his customer service team come back to me periodically saying they are investigating, but I really cant see they are taking this matter seriously. The CEO seems to be burying his head and never comes back to you personally of which in this situation should. The crux of this matter is that this company left trip hazards all over the place so that there customers can injure themselves, they dont care and dont take things seriously at all.
I have now had a response from the Head Office stating that my wife did not trip over and lightly touched a box that was in the way, this goes to show that the CEO Mr Simpkin does not care about any customers of his at all. I will be taking this further, but they have literally said in their email that we can take it further. Absolutely disgusting company that will take your money but does not care about your health and safety while browsing their stores. I would avoid at all cost to stay safe. Name: Gary Degeorge

Rating: Title: Not bad, not great Review: In terms of ordering, it was fairly easy via their site and of no issue and as it was a pre order I knew there would be a wait period. Where it started to become a problem was when the date for the pre order started; one date would be announced and within a few hours another email cancelling said date with another added for much later, this was the process that kept repeating and when the last email set the date ridiculously far away I finally reached a point and began biting back. It\'s not acceptable to keep playing with dates and holding off the way they were.
After that I promptly got a delivery company and date set up and to the credit of the company they delivered it on the date set and everything was in pristine condition.
But to the question of whether I would use The Range ever again, the answer is an honest no. The communication is near to impossible unless you know the means to bypass the usual routes and even when you can get in contact their lack of professionalism is astonishingly appalling. Not worth the cheap prices given how they treat existing customers, avoid. Name: Marie Clark

The Range are more than aware of the common fault but insist on you paying for an inspection before they’ll do anything. I believe this is a strategy to put customers off, and therefore they don’t need to give a refund.

I said I\'m happy to empty all pockets and check my bags and go and see the manger but he insisted on me leaving the store. I made a formal complaint to head office and got a apology from them. It has auto links to so many other spyware services such as google, facebook and others that it slows everything to a snails pace.
