DollarTree.com also sells selected merchandise, including case quantities and smaller quantities for some products. Selection, pricing and availability can differ between stores and online. Dollar Tree sold Family Dollar in July 2025; they are separate businesses, and this page addresses Dollar Tree purchases.

A return for a change of mind differs from correcting an incomplete or damaged order; ask support what action it will take for your case.

Dollar Tree’s central return policy says to speak with a store associate about merchandise purchased in a store. With the original receipt, an eligible item may be exchanged or refunded to the original form of payment. Without the original receipt, it may be exchanged at the current scanned price, but the policy does not promise a refund. Gift cards and prepaid financial cards are excluded from refunds and exchanges. The central page does not state a general number of days or a uniform refund-posting time, so check the current policy and ask your store before making a special trip.

Dollar Tree store-location FAQs still show older wording that describes all in-store sales as final and allows only unopened-item exchanges with a receipt. Because the company’s own pages disagree, show the associate the current central policy if a store gives conflicting instructions, and use the help form if you cannot resolve it there. DollarTree.com orders are described as final sale; contact online support about shipping mistakes or damage instead of assuming a store can accept a website order as an ordinary return.

Dollar Tree offers local same-day shopping and delivery through a partner platform in participating areas. Prices may be higher than in store and delivery or service fees are displayed at checkout. If you placed an order through that provider, check its order details and contact the provider’s support for delivery changes, cancellations, missing items or refunds. The channel and provider matter; DollarTree.com ship-to-store, in-store purchases and same-day partner orders are not interchangeable transactions.
