Overview
DR Power Equipment reviews and complaints include a documented October 8, 2026 recall of specific Pilot and Premier trimmer mowers. Owners should identify their model and use the recall repair process before treating the issue as an ordinary warranty or return request.
Recall action: Stop using an affected trimmer mower. Grass and debris can accumulate and ignite, creating fire and burn hazards.

Which DR Power Trimmer Mowers Are Recalled?
The CPSC notice, recall 27-016 concerns orange-and-black walk-behind trimmer mowers. Labels may say Premier or Pro, so the model number is the useful check. CPSC reports approximately 42,860 units in the U.S. and another 340 in Canada; sales ran from November 2022 through July 2026.
The official repair application page lists these models, with all serial numbers included:
| Model number | Serial-number coverage |
|---|---|
| T4X1076DMN | All |
| T4X1076DMNR | All |
| T4X1076DMNSD | All |
| T4X1176DMN | All |
| T4X1176DMN-1 | All |
| T4X1176DMNR | All |
| TR43076DMN | All |
| TR43076DMNR | All |
DR Power places the model and serial information on a white label on the side frame. Photograph the full label and transcribe the model carefully, including a suffix such as R, SD or -1. Keep a wider photograph of the machine as well, so a support representative can connect the label to the product.
CPSC records 19 reported fires and two minor injuries. These totals are reported safety incidents, not a current online-review count or a failure rate for every DR Power product.
How to Request the Free Repair Kit or Dealer Installation
- Check the model. Compare the label with the list above.
- Start at DR Power’s application page. It links the Trimmer Repair Kit Form, hosted on Formstack.
- Save your submission. Keep a screenshot or confirmation and the email address used.
- Ask about installation assistance. CPSC says owners concerned about installing the kit can contact DR Power for free installation by an authorized dealer.
The application page asks owners to allow one to two weeks for request review. It says additional information may be requested by email and an email confirmation follows when the kit order is placed. This is a review estimate, not a guaranteed delivery or completed-repair date.
Keep those milestones separate: application received, information complete, kit ordered, kit delivered and repair completed. If installation is arranged, confirm the appointment, the participating dealer and the recall authorization before transporting the machine or paying for work.
If a DR Power Recall Request Stalls
Follow up using the same identifying details you originally supplied. State the application date, model, serial number, any case number and the specific unresolved step. Ask whether the request is awaiting information, kit fulfillment or dealer scheduling.
Do not send full card details in a support message. Keep serial numbers and your delivery address in private correspondence. For a public review, explain the sequence of events and remedy requested without publishing personal records.
The official dealer locator can help identify a service location. Confirm participation in this recall with DR Power first; a nearby listing alone does not establish an approved appointment. If your issue concerns a different model, ask support to identify the applicable process rather than assuming this recall covers it.
DR Power Reviews and Evidence Limits
This guide relies on the regulator’s recall and the company’s application and contact pages. No fresh independent customer-complaint cluster was verified for this article. ZeroStars has not tested the machines or independently confirmed individual repairs. The recall establishes the affected products and announced remedy; it does not measure overall customer satisfaction.
When sharing an experience, distinguish a recall request from a routine warranty claim, an order delay or dissatisfaction with cutting performance. Record the company’s response and update the review if the kit or dealer service resolves the problem.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this DR Power recall offer a refund?
The announced remedy is repair. Do not assume it promises a refund; ask separately about any other remedy sought.
Does a Pro label mean my mower is excluded?
Check the model number. CPSC says some recalled machines carry that label.
When should I follow up on the repair application?
Use the review period above, check for an email requesting more information and ask about the current stage. A request-review estimate does not promise a shipment arrival date.
Can ZeroStars book my repair?
No. Arrange the remedy directly with DR Power. ZeroStars provides independent guidance and publishes customer experiences.
