Does the DREO heater recall cover your unit? Check the label on the underside. The October 29, 2026 recall covers model DR-HSH015 with a manufacture date from 2025/04 through 2026/01, inclusive. If both match, stop using the heater immediately, unplug it and register with DREO for a free replacement. See DREO’s recall notice and label photo.
How to identify a recalled DREO space heater
The Whole-Room Heater 715 name can help you locate your paperwork. Use the model and manufacture date on the heater itself to check eligibility. A store receipt shows when you bought it, which can be months after manufacture. If the label is unreadable or either identifier is unclear, contact the recall team before altering the unit.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission listed about 338,800 units in the U.S. DREO reported 17 instances of heaters igniting, including three reports of property damage and one hand burn. These figures describe the October 29 notice. They cannot establish the likelihood of a fire in an individual home. Read the CPSC notice and see identification photos.
How to request the replacement
- Read the model, date code and serial number from the underside label. Keep a private photo of it.
- Open the registration form linked by DREO. Get the code and follow the program’s instructions before marking or destroying anything. The program asks for photographic evidence of the label, assigned code and cut cord. The heater must be unplugged.
- Save your submission confirmation. If you need help with a photo or the claim status, use the recall contact and give your reference privately.
