Overview
Power Quick Pot reviews and complaints need to identify the actual cooker. This guide addresses the six-quart Y6D-36 and the current safety notice, with a checklist for owners seeking information about their purchase.
Stop-use warning: In its October 15, 2026 warning 27-030, CPSC says the Y6D-36 lid can open while pressurized and expel hot contents. It urges owners to stop using and dispose of the cooker, without selling or giving it away.
Which Power Quick Pot Is Covered?
The warning identifies the six-quart Y6D-36. The model label is on the back; the front carries the Power Quick Pot name. Compare it with the CPSC identification photographs. Power Pressure Cooker XL, Instant Pot and other capacities are not interchangeable names for this model.
If the label is unclear, preserve what can be read and ask the original seller to identify the transaction. Do not pressure-test the cooker, force the lid or invent a repair while investigating. A past uneventful cooking cycle does not override the warning.
Is a Refund or Repair Program Available?
CPSC says importer Tristar Products refused a recall or consumer remedy. The notice reports 24 hot-content-expulsion reports involving serious burns and about 393,000 units. Units are not complaint counts, and the official reports were not independently inspected or deduplicated for this guide.
As of October 16, no remedy was verified for this warning. A retailer inquiry may help establish what, if anything, the seller offers, but it is not a guaranteed refund route. Do not pay a purported recall administrator based only on an unsolicited message.
What to Include in a Retailer Inquiry
- Find the receipt or order history and identify the business that sold the item, including any marketplace seller.
- Record the model, purchase date and order reference privately. Include a safe, readable label photograph if available.
- Reference CPSC warning 27-030 and ask whether a current seller policy or newly announced remedy applies to that purchase.
- Request written instructions, any authorization number, the expected outcome and a follow-up date.
- Keep the reply with your records. Distinguish a request received from a refund posted or other completed outcome.
Preserve documents without operating the cooker or delaying the safety action. Do not send the appliance to an address from an old manual without verifying current instructions.
Official Information and Safety-Report Routes
Current notice: CPSC’s Power Quick Pot warning
Incident reporting: SaferProducts.gov
Purchase questions: use the seller’s verified order-history or customer-service route.
A current dedicated manufacturer-support channel was not independently verified. This guide therefore does not offer an old support domain as a confirmed place to submit personal or payment details. CPSC’s reporting service collects safety information; it is not a retailer refund desk.
What the Evidence Does and Does Not Show
No independent firsthand owner accounts were inspected for this publication. The safety notice is the reason for this guide; it does not establish a fresh complaint trend, a representative failure rate or a finding of fraud. A dated reader account should explain the product, experience and actual response without treating someone else’s story as firsthand evidence.
Share Your Power Quick Pot Experience
Positive, neutral and negative experiences are welcome through the −5 to +5 reader review system. Describe your own purchase, the approximate date, whom you contacted and the outcome actually received. Distinguish an unanswered request, a promised remedy and a completed refund. Keep order numbers, addresses and payment details private. ZeroStars does not assign a rating before readers submit reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Power Quick Pot Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a support route for a similarly named cooker?
First confirm that the company handles your exact product and purchase. Similar branding or a shared retailer does not establish that the same service team or policy applies.
Does a seller promising to investigate mean I will receive a refund?
No. Ask for a decision and retain the response. An investigation, an approval and money received are separate events.
Can ZeroStars file a safety report or refund request for me?
No. Use the official reporting or seller channel yourself. Do not put private transaction information into a public review.
