Overview

Travelers reviews and complaints on ZeroStars give customers a place to describe their insurance experiences, including billing, renewals, claims and customer service. Explain what happened, how Travelers responded and whether the matter was resolved. Rate your experience from −5 to +5, including 0.

ZeroStars is an independent consumer review website and is not affiliated with Travelers. Posting a review here does not submit an insurance claim or deliver a complaint to the company. Use the official contact options below when you need help with a policy or claim.

About Travelers

Travelers serves personal and business insurance customers. Its support channels distinguish individual policies from business coverage and workers compensation claims. When writing a review, identify the product and your state so readers can understand the experience in context.

Check the insurer named on your declarations page. Explain whether you dealt with an agent, a billing representative, a claim professional or a repair provider. Those interactions may be related, but identifying who handled each stage makes a review more useful. Avoid publishing policy numbers or private contact details.

Premiums, Renewals and Policy Changes

A renewal complaint is easier to follow when it compares equivalent coverage. Review the prior and renewal declarations pages for changes to limits, deductibles, listed drivers, vehicles and discounts. Compare the total premium and term length as well as the installment amount.

Ask your agent or service representative to explain changes you do not recognize. If you requested a vehicle removal, address correction or coverage adjustment, keep the request date and confirmation. In your review, distinguish the original quote from the issued policy and any later revisions. State whether the company corrected the discrepancy or provided an explanation.

Claims, Estimates and Communication

The Travelers claims page provides separate routes for individual and business claims, along with auto glass and roadside assistance options. Choose the route that matches your situation. Keep the claim confirmation, photographs, estimates and correspondence together for follow-up.

For a claim that seems stalled, ask what information remains outstanding, who is responsible for the next step and when you should expect an update. Record the answers and any promised follow-up dates. Avoid treating an initial estimate as a guarantee that every later expense will be covered.

If you disagree with a denial or settlement amount, request a written explanation and the policy provisions supporting it. Identify the specific damage, invoice or coverage question you dispute. A useful review explains the disagreement and the company’s response without presenting an unresolved allegation as an established finding.

Auto Repairs and Shop Selection

Travelers’ MyTravelers Repair Network helps customers find participating repair facilities. Travelers states that customers are not required to use a network shop and that the network is not available in every state. Its published network guidance describes a repair guarantee lasting while you own the vehicle; ask for the applicable terms before authorizing work.

Separate concerns about the insurer’s estimate from concerns about the shop’s workmanship or scheduling. Ask how supplemental damage discovered during repairs will be documented and reviewed. Before renting a replacement vehicle, confirm any applicable rental coverage, limits and approved dates. Keep repair invoices and rental receipts for your records.

IntelliDrive and IntelliDrive 365

Travelers offers different IntelliDrive programs depending on eligibility and location. Its official guidance says safer driving can produce savings, while riskier driving may increase premiums depending on the program and state. Savings are not guaranteed.

The IntelliDrive program describes a 90-day driving assessment. IntelliDrive 365 measures enrolled drivers’ behavior throughout the life of the policy. Confirm which version you have before relying on another customer’s experience or comparing enrollment and renewal terms.

If your concern involves recorded trips, app permissions or a premium adjustment, save the relevant screens privately and ask for an explanation. Note the program name, assessment period and response in your review. Ask about the opt-out terms that apply to your policy before making changes; do not assume deleting an app ends participation or removes a pricing effect.

Billing, Cancellation and Refund Questions

For an unexpected charge, compare the bill with your payment history and recent policy changes. Keep payment confirmations and ask for an itemized explanation of any balance. Explain whether your complaint concerns the amount owed, a duplicate payment or the way support handled the issue.

When requesting cancellation, confirm the required steps and effective date in writing. Ask how any final balance or refund will be calculated and delivered. Stopping an automatic payment should not be treated as confirmation that the policy has ended. If replacing coverage, verify the new policy’s effective date before ending the existing one.

Escalating a Travelers Complaint

Start with the representative handling the issue and state the outcome you are requesting. If an important question remains unanswered, ask for a supervisor or the appropriate review process. Travelers also lists Customer Advocacy as a way to reach the appropriate department when you do not know where to turn.

For an unresolved insurance complaint, the NAIC insurance department directory links to state regulators and complaint resources. Provide relevant documents through the official process. Keep responding to policy notices and correspondence while seeking help; a public review is separate from an insurer’s or regulator’s complaint procedure.

Writing a Helpful Travelers Review

Describe your own experience with approximate dates, the type of coverage, contact methods and outcome. Explain what went well as well as what did not. Choose a rating from −5 to +5, including 0, and explain why it fits your experience. If the matter is later resolved, update the review.

Do not include claim numbers, addresses, medical information or banking details. You can also read customer experiences with Nationwide, Farmers Insurance and Liberty Mutual, or browse Insurance, Warranties & Protection Plans.
