About Cove dishwashers

Cove is the dishwasher brand within the family-owned Sub-Zero Group, alongside Sub-Zero refrigeration and Wolf cooking appliances. The group introduced Cove in 2018. These brands share customer care resources, but each has its own product documentation and warranty terms.

For related appliance experiences, visit the published Sub-Zero, Wolf, Bosch Home Appliances and Miele pages, or browse the Appliances category.

What makes a Cove review useful?

Identify your dishwasher model, approximate installation date and length of ownership. Describe cleaning results, drying, cycle duration, rack adjustments, controls and noise under everyday use. For a performance concern, include the cycle used, loading conditions and any troubleshooting recommended by support. Separate what you observed from what a technician diagnosed.

For a repair or warranty experience, explain the appointment timeline, communication, diagnosis, charges, parts wait and final outcome. Give credit for a successful repair or helpful explanation, and describe unresolved problems specifically. A mixed rating can reflect good cleaning performance alongside a disappointing service experience. Identify whether Cove, the dealer, delivery company or installer handled the issue. Do not post full serial numbers, private contact information or payment details.

Registration and dishwasher manuals

Use official product registration, which offers account-based registration or an option to continue without an account. Keep the receipt, installation date, model and serial number, dealer information and service invoices together.

Search the official manuals and specifications library for the exact model. Use the matching use-and-care guide for loading, detergent, rinse aid, filters and cycle instructions, and the installation guide for site requirements. If you cannot identify the correct document, ask Customer Care to confirm it from your appliance details.

Cove warranty terms: check your product’s documents

The residential document currently linked from the official warranty hub provides two years of parts and labor for defects from original installation. Limited coverage through year five covers the electronic control board, diverter valve, pump and racks; owners pay labor and other costs. Limited lifetime parts coverage applies to the stainless-steel tub and door liner, with exclusions for specified surface damage and corrosion.

Full warranty work requires Factory Certified Service unless Cove specifies otherwise. Exclusions include negligence, accidents and improper use, maintenance, installation, service or repair. Stainless-steel cosmetic defects have a 60-day limit. For limited parts claims, obtain Cove’s direction before buying parts from noncertified sources; reimbursement restrictions apply.

An older official residential warranty provides five years of full parts-and-labor coverage. Do not assume the current document replaces the terms supplied with your dishwasher. Ask Cove to confirm the applicable warranty using your model, serial number and installation records. Display and nonresidential products have separate documents.

Authorized repairs, scheduling and replacement parts

Use the Factory Certified provider locator for service, parts and installers. Contact a listed service company to schedule an appointment, or ask Customer Care for a referral. Provide the model, serial number, symptoms, any displayed error information and prior repair history.

Before authorizing work, request a breakdown of diagnostic or travel charges, labor, parts and any amount you must pay. Confirm the manufacturer’s authorization when seeking warranty coverage. An independent repair company’s own workmanship promise or a third-party service contract is separate from Cove’s warranty.

The group’s replacement-part guidance generally provides one year of parts-only coverage from the part’s original installation, with labor excluded and a registered appliance serial number required. Exceptions apply, including certain consumables and cosmetic components. For a defective part bought from a Factory Certified Parts Distributor, contact the selling distributor. Confirm compatibility before ordering.

Delivery, installation and retailer returns

Cove directs appliance purchases to official retailers. Obtain the seller’s delivery, cancellation, return, exchange and damage-reporting terms in writing. A retailer return and a manufacturer warranty claim are separate requests; approval of a repair does not automatically establish a right to return the dishwasher.

Factory Certified installers are available through the official network. Ask who will handle cabinet and panel fit, plumbing, drain connections, electrical work, leveling, securing the dishwasher and old-appliance removal. Confirm the scope and price before work begins. Keep installation records and photographs of delivery damage. Report delivery or workmanship problems to the responsible company, and involve Cove when product guidance or warranty assessment is needed.

Cove dishwasher recall and safety instructions

The CPSC notice dated June 16, 2021 covers Cove DW2450 and DW2450WS dishwashers with serial numbers 20000100 through 20044445. The heating element can fail to shut off properly and overheat, creating a fire hazard. Check the rating plate inside the dishwasher against the notice.

For an affected dishwasher, immediately stop using it and disconnect power. Cove’s recall instructions specify unplugging it or switching off its breaker, then arranging a free repair through Factory Certified Service or the recall hotline. The issue can occur while the appliance is idle as well as during use.

The recall contact is 888-651-9376 or support@coveappliance.com. The CPSC notice lists Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Central Time. Check the manufacturer’s recall page for updates; do not assume every Cove model is affected.

Escalating an unresolved Cove complaint

Give Customer Care a concise timeline, case number, service invoices, diagnosis and the resolution you are requesting. Ask for a case review or supervisor if previous contacts have not resolved the issue. Request a written explanation of a coverage denial and an itemized estimate for any proposed paid work. Keep dealer promises and installer agreements with the relevant company’s correspondence. The CPSC recall notice includes a complaint route for problems obtaining a recall remedy.

Official sources

Official sources checked September 29, 2026. Sources include the linked warranty documents, registration, manuals, service and parts guidance, manufacturer and CPSC recall notices, company history and official customer care information. Confirm the terms and service availability that apply to your product and location.

Cove FAQs

Who owns Cove?

Cove belongs to Sub-Zero Group, the family-owned group behind Sub-Zero refrigeration and Wolf cooking appliances. Use Cove’s own product and warranty documents for a dishwasher claim.

Why do I see different Cove warranty periods?

Official documents include different versions. Keep the warranty supplied with your dishwasher and ask Customer Care to confirm the terms that apply to your unit rather than relying on a general statement online.

Does lifetime coverage mean every repair is free?

No. Check the covered components, exclusions and owner-paid charges in the applicable warranty before approving service.

How do I arrange a Cove repair?

Contact a provider through the official Factory Certified locator or ask Customer Care for a referral. Confirm availability, authorization and charges directly. For a recalled appliance, follow the specific recall instructions.

Can the dealer take back a dishwasher with a problem?

Ask the seller about its written return or exchange terms. Cove’s warranty process and the dealer’s return process are separate; neither guarantees approval through the other.

Can I leave a positive or neutral review?

Yes. Ratings range from −5 to +5, with 0 available for a neutral or mixed result. Explain the appliance performance, support experience and eventual outcome behind your rating.
