About Hobby Lobby
Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. sells arts and crafts supplies, home décor, seasonal merchandise and framing products in U.S. stores and on HobbyLobby.com. Store inventory, prices and promotions can differ from the website. Share a positive, neutral or negative first-hand shopping experience here using ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 review scale; 0 is a valid rating.
What to Include in Your Review
State whether you shopped at a store or on HobbyLobby.com, the date, location or order number, item, price and receipt or invoice. For a return, describe the item condition, whether it was a bulk or seasonal purchase, the path used and the refund or credit issued. For a delivery issue, keep photos of the carton and the tracking record. Do not post full payment card numbers, gift card PINs or private account information.
Store Customer Service and Online Order Support
Hobby Lobby publishes separate phone numbers for store or corporate customer correspondence and for HobbyLobby.com orders. The online support number also provides a self-service order-cancellation or address-update route. Regular staff support hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Central. Use the official contact form for a written question, and reach out before returning a damaged, defective or incorrect online item. Keep the original carton and merchandise while support reviews the issue.
In-Store Returns With a Receipt
Hobby Lobby says that within 90 days of an in-store purchase, it may exchange eligible merchandise, issue store credit or refund according to the original payment method when the original receipt is presented. A check purchase has a 10-calendar-day waiting period, though merchandise credit may be issued. Product restrictions apply, so check the receipt and condition before visiting. A retailer return is distinct from a manufacturer warranty claim.
In-Store Returns Without a Receipt
Without the original store receipt, Hobby Lobby says an eligible item may be exchanged or receive merchandise credit based on the lowest selling price in the preceding 60 days. A valid ID is required. Hobby Lobby reserves the right to limit or decline some products and nonreceipted returns. Merchandise credit is different from a refund to the original payment method.
Online Returns and the $250 Rule
Most qualifying HobbyLobby.com products may be returned within 90 days, in sellable condition. Opened or used online merchandise is not eligible under the published policy. Eligible items sold and shipped by HobbyLobby.com with a line-item total under $250 can usually be brought to a Hobby Lobby store with the invoice; the store credits the full purchase price to a Hobby Lobby Gift Card rather than refunding the original credit card. Any single line item totaling $250 or more is generally considered a bulk purchase and must go back through HobbyLobby.com, though specified Christmas trees, furniture and wall décor individually priced over $250 are exempt from that limit. Some bulk seasonal returns can incur a 20% restocking fee. Check the order line and exception before transporting a large product.
Online Returns by Mail and Refund Timing
For an online return sent to HobbyLobby.com, follow the return form and current mailing instructions. The customer normally pays return shipping. Hobby Lobby says processing and issuing the refund can take up to two weeks, with the purchase price and applicable sales tax returned to the card used for the order; a gift-card purchase is refunded as a gift card. Exchanges are handled as new orders. Original shipping or handling is generally not credited unless the return results from a company error under its stated conditions. A store cannot refund online shipping charges or perform an online purchase price adjustment.
Damaged Items, Final Restrictions and Warranties
A damaged or defective item from an online order cannot be returned to a store under Hobby Lobby’s policy. Call online customer service or use its contact form before sending it back, and retain both merchandise and shipping materials. Cricut machines and sewing machines, apart from the stated Singer Stitch Quick exception, require the original receipt and new, unopened condition for a retailer return; manufacturer warranty claims go to the manufacturer. Other prohibited-return rules may apply to a particular product.
Shipping and Store Pickup
Hobby Lobby’s help page says online orders are shipped directly to the customer; it does not offer online-order pickup at a local store. Its published average is one to two business days for processing and three to four more for delivery, with longer times for some orders and destinations. Expedited options depend on item and address, and shipping charges are shown at checkout. Watch for the shipment email and tracking number, and contact online support for a lost, damaged or incorrect delivery.
Order Cancellation and Account Questions
Hobby Lobby says it may cancel an online order if the request is made quickly enough. Check the order-status page with the order number, billing ZIP code and email, or use the self-service phone route; an order cannot generally be edited after placement, so missing items require a new order. An online account is optional for checkout, according to its FAQ. Keep the order confirmation when seeking a correction.
Prices, Ads and Promotions
Hobby Lobby warns that store and website prices, product selection and promotions may differ, and it does not promise to honor one channel’s price in the other. Its online terms say the website has no competitor price-match guarantee. A separate in-store FAQ describes a limited practice of honoring a competitor’s ad for an exact item with a specific price, subject to category exclusions; competitor percentage-off ads are not accepted, and competitor ads are not honored online. Check the current weekly ad and promotion terms for the location and date involved.
Gift Cards and Payment
Hobby Lobby gift cards can be used in its stores and online, and its official site offers a gift card balance lookup. Hobby Lobby says gift cards have no stated expiration, though unclaimed-property rules may affect long-inactive balances in some states. Keep a prepaid card or Hobby Lobby gift card used online because a refund may go back to the original payment method. PayPal is accepted online, while contactless wallet payments are described for stores. Do not share a gift card PIN with someone demanding payment outside Hobby Lobby’s verified channels.

Frequently asked questions
Hobby Lobby FAQs
How long do I have to return a Hobby Lobby purchase?
Hobby Lobby generally lists a 90-day window for eligible in-store and HobbyLobby.com purchases. Product condition, receipt, bulk purchase status and other restrictions matter.
Can I return an online order to a Hobby Lobby store?
An eligible online item sold and shipped by HobbyLobby.com with a qualifying line-item total under $250 generally may be returned within 90 days with the invoice, but the store issues a Hobby Lobby Gift Card. Certain individually priced large items are exempt from the $250 bulk rule. Damaged or defective online items must go through online support instead.
Will an in-store return of an online order go back to my credit card?
Hobby Lobby’s online return instructions say a qualifying online item returned at a store is credited to a Hobby Lobby Gift Card with the invoice. A qualifying mailed return to HobbyLobby.com is generally refunded to the original card, or as a gift card for an order originally paid by gift card.
Can I return a store purchase without a receipt?
An approved no-receipt return requires valid ID and may result in an exchange or merchandise credit based on the item’s lowest selling price in the previous 60 days. Hobby Lobby can decline some returns.
Does Hobby Lobby offer online purchase pickup?
No. Its published shipping FAQ says online orders are shipped directly to the customer rather than picked up at a local store.
What if my online order arrived damaged?
Contact HobbyLobby.com support at 800-888-0321 or use its contact form before returning the item. Keep the product and box; damaged online merchandise cannot be returned to a store under the published policy.
What is the difference between the two support numbers?
Hobby Lobby publishes 855-329-7060 for store and corporate customer-service matters and 800-888-0321 for HobbyLobby.com orders. Representative hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Central.
