Menards is a U.S. home improvement retailer selling building materials, tools, appliances, home products and project supplies in stores and on MENARDS.COM. Provide the store location or order channel, purchase date, product name or SKU, order number if relevant, and whether the merchandise was stock, special order, custom made or altered. For a rebate, state the offer period, submission date and response without exposing the full barcode or personal information. For pickup or delivery, record the promised and actual dates, fees, damage, support contacts and resolution. Do not publish a complete payment card number or account credentials.

Menards’ general policy says an eligible return with a receipt within 90 days is refunded according to the original tender: cash purchases in cash; eligible credit and debit purchases back to the account; purchases with a gift card, coupon or store credit as store credit. Check purchases and split-tender transactions have additional conditions. After 90 days, a receipted return generally receives in-store credit for the original purchase price. Product codes printed on the receipt can change the window or make an item non-returnable. Ask the store about your specific item before relying on the general 90-day rule.

If you paid by check or credit card, Menards says you may be able to print a return receipt at a store kiosk or find an eligible receipt through your online account. Without a receipt, an accepted return may receive in-store credit based on the lowest offered price, including coupon or rebate discounts. A driver’s license or state ID is required, and Menards reserves the right to refuse a no-receipt return. Bring the payment information needed for a receipt lookup without posting it in a public review.

Menards says items purchased on MENARDS.COM can be returned to a store, but acceptance of an online return is at the individual store’s discretion. Bring the order confirmation and check product-specific restrictions and whether a return must go through a warehouse. Menards says a credit for an online order returned and processed by its warehouse should appear on the card in about 7 to 10 days after processing. This is a processing estimate, not a guarantee for every payment method or return.

Special-order returns can carry a 25% restocking fee, and Menards’ order terms say custom-made special-order products are nonrefundable. Non-custom special orders may be refunded at Menards’ discretion subject to a 25% restocking fee. Stock merchandise that was cut or altered can also incur a 25% restocking fee. Other receipt codes create special rules: some goods require an over-the-counter exchange within 30 or 90 days with a receipt; unused gas-powered equipment generally has a 30-day, receipt-required window; and major appliances have separate defect and unopened-item terms. Check the receipt, item condition and current official return policy. A manufacturer warranty or authorized repair route is separate from a retailer return.

Menards offers online pickup choices that differ materially. With “Menards Picks,” staff pull and hold eligible items and a processing fee applies; the fee becomes nonrefundable once the order is in process, and cancellation is limited before that stage. Menards says it holds these pickup orders for up to 14 days unless a store grants an extension. With “Customer Picks,” the customer finds and pulls the items, with no processing fee; stock is not set aside. Availability varies by product. Home shipping and local store delivery may be available for eligible items; options, charges and estimates are shown at checkout. For a missing, damaged or late order, save photos, delivery documentation and the order number, then use the official order or contact routes promptly.

A Menards rebate is typically a mail-in offer that produces a Rebate Credit Check for a later in-store purchase. An advertised “value after rebate” is not the amount charged at checkout and is not a cash refund. The credit check is not valid for purchases on MENARDS.COM. Menards says qualifying shoppers mail the rebate receipt and completed form to the address on the offer form within the stated deadline; its current general site language describes one year from the purchase date for participating offers and asks customers to allow six to eight weeks after mailing for processing. Check the particular promotion’s terms and use the official rebate tracker or contact form if the submission is delayed. Keep copies of the receipt, form and mailing details.

Menards offers gift cards and an official balance-check route. Its return policy says gift cards are not returnable or refundable and are not redeemable for cash except where law requires. Treat gift-card numbers and PINs as cash: buy through Menards or a trusted source, and do not share them with a caller demanding payment. The Menards BIG Card, Contractor Card and Commercial Account are credit products involving Capital One; account billing and credit questions should go to Capital One through Menards’ published card contact route. Card rewards and financing are subject to current terms, separate from mail-in promotional rebates.

Menards’ help center says an online account can provide access to qualifying rebate receipts for up to one year and resend eligible online order confirmations placed in the last 30 days. The app supports shopping and some pickup or delivery orders. For an account or order-tracking problem, record the error and order date without sharing your password publicly.
