Overview
Thermador reviews can cover cooking appliances, refrigeration, dishwashers, ventilation, coffee machines, installation, warranty claims, repairs and customer service. Share a positive, neutral or negative experience on ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 scale. A rating of 0 is valid for a neutral or mixed experience.
About Thermador appliances
Thermador is a brand of BSH Home Appliances Group, a Bosch Group company. Its U.S. appliance business operates through BSH Home Appliances Corporation. Related ownership does not make Thermador’s product warranties, promotions or customer service contacts interchangeable with another brand’s.
For related experiences, see Bosch Home Appliances, Wolf, Sub-Zero and Miele, or browse the Appliances category. Bosch Home Appliances is distinct from Bosch Power Tools.
Writing a useful Thermador review
Identify the appliance type and model, approximate purchase or delivery date and length of ownership. Describe everyday performance: cooking consistency, burner or induction controls, refrigerator temperatures, dishwasher cleaning and drying, ventilation noise or coffee-machine operation. If connected features affected your experience, explain the Home Connect issue separately from the appliance’s basic operation.
For service, include the appointment timeline, technician’s diagnosis, quoted and paid charges, parts delays and whether the repair solved the problem. Positive experiences with effective repairs and helpful communication are useful alongside complaints. A neutral review can explain a mixed outcome. Identify the manufacturer, retailer, delivery company or installer responsible for each part of the transaction. Keep full serial numbers, private contact details and payment information out of your public review.
Registration, manuals and appliance identification
Use official product registration and MyThermador to organize appliance information and access owner resources. Keep receipts, delivery records and service invoices even after registration.
Find the exact appliance in Thermador’s owner resources for use-and-care manuals, specifications and installation instructions. Record the complete model number, also called E-Nr., and the FD and Z-Nr. identifiers where shown on the rating plate. Use model-specific instructions for cleaning, maintenance, setup and troubleshooting.
Thermador warranty coverage and exclusions
The official warranty overview lists two years of limited parts-and-labor coverage across major appliance categories. Additional coverage varies. Built-in refrigerators have listed sealed-system coverage for parts and labor in years three through six and parts only in years seven through twelve. Dishwashers have specified electronics and rack parts coverage through year five. Certain rust-through protections are parts-only and subject to the applicable terms.
The owner manual or warranty supplement controls your specific claim. Warranty documents differ in their starting date and cosmetic-damage period, so keep purchase and delivery records and report cosmetic damage promptly. Do not treat longer component coverage as a promise that every repair or labor charge is covered.
For example, the CIT30YWBB induction cooktop manual excludes damage from misuse, neglected maintenance, improper installation, unauthorized service and other specified causes. It also addresses access-related costs. Ask Thermador which exclusion or coverage provision applies to your unit, and request an itemized decision before approving paid work.
A purchased Thermador Appliance Service Plan or retailer protection plan is a separate contract. Check the plan administrator, claim procedure, exclusions and authorization requirements rather than assuming it follows the original manufacturer warranty.
Scheduling repairs and finding authorized service
Start with Thermador’s repair booking page or call Customer Care. The online process requests appliance identifiers and purchase information for warranty claims. Availability depends on the appliance and service location; phone support being available around the clock does not mean a technician can attend at any hour.
The contact page also provides a servicer finder and service-and-repair inquiry option. Confirm whether your appointment is with Thermador or an independent authorized company. Ask about diagnostic or travel charges, labor, parts, repeat visits and any amount payable if the problem is outside warranty coverage. If a third-party plan is paying, obtain its authorization first.
Replacement parts and accessories
Use the official Thermador parts search with the complete E-Nr., or search by the eight-digit part number if known. Confirm compatibility before ordering filters, racks, knobs, seals or other components; a similar appearance does not establish that a part fits.
Before purchasing parts for a potential warranty repair, ask support how the claim should be handled. An online parts order, an authorized repair and a retailer appliance purchase have different transaction terms. Check the applicable parts-order return and warranty terms before opening or installing an item, and do not assume self-purchased parts or independent labor will be reimbursed.
Delivery, installation and retailer returns
Thermador provides an official dealer locator and model-specific installation documents. Confirm your seller’s written delivery, cancellation, return, exchange and damage-reporting rules before purchase. Manufacturer defect coverage and retailer returns are separate processes.
For built-in appliances, ask who is responsible for cabinet dimensions, custom panels, electrical or gas connections, plumbing, ventilation, securing the appliance and haul-away. Confirm installation scope and price in writing. Keep delivery photographs and installation records. Direct a delivery or workmanship dispute to the responsible company while involving Thermador when product assessment or warranty guidance is needed.
Thermador recalls and safety notices
Check the official safety-notice page against your exact model and production identifiers. It lists notices involving dishwasher power cords, certain ovens, cooktops and older ranges, as well as range-tipping guidance. These notices apply to specified products rather than every Thermador appliance.
Use the individual notice’s instructions and recall contact route, including any direction to stop using the appliance or a particular feature. Confirm whether a required repair has already been completed on a used or previously serviced unit. You can also check CPSC recall notices for official details.
Escalating an unresolved Thermador complaint
Give Customer Care your case number, appliance identifiers, purchase or delivery evidence, service invoices and a concise timeline. State the resolution you are seeking and ask for a case review or supervisor if earlier contacts have not resolved the problem. Request a written explanation of denied coverage or proposed charges. Keep dealer promises, installation agreements and third-party service-plan correspondence with the company responsible for each agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Thermador FAQs
Is Thermador related to Bosch?
Thermador belongs to BSH, a Bosch Group company. Use Thermador’s support channels and the warranty supplied for your Thermador appliance rather than substituting another brand’s terms.
How do I schedule a Thermador repair?
Use the official repair booking page or call Customer Care. Have the complete model number, rating-plate identifiers, symptoms and purchase or delivery records ready.
Does longer parts coverage include labor?
Not necessarily. Ask which components and charges are covered under the warranty applicable to your appliance, and request a written estimate for the remainder.
Where do I find the right manual or replacement part?
Search the official owner resources or parts finder using the complete E-Nr. Include the model’s suffix when shown so support can identify the correct version.
Can I return an appliance instead of arranging a repair?
Contact the seller about its return or exchange terms. A manufacturer warranty claim does not automatically qualify a purchase for a retailer return.
Can I leave a neutral or positive review?
Yes. ZeroStars accepts ratings from −5 to +5, including 0 for a neutral or mixed experience. Explain what worked, what did not and the eventual outcome.
