Delta Air Lines is a major U.S. airline headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It operates domestic and international passenger service and runs the SkyMiles loyalty program.

Delta says passengers with delayed baggage should report the issue at the airport and keep the file reference number. If the bag is found within five days, Delta says it will arrange delivery based on the baggage report. If the bag has been delayed for six days or more, Delta directs the customer to submit a potential property-loss claim.

For damaged bags on domestic tickets issued on or after October 8, 2025, Delta says damage generally must be reported within six hours of arrival, with specific exceptions. International damaged-bag claims generally must be reported within seven days. Delta lists 1-800-325-8224 for baggage help.

Delta provides online tools for cancellations, refunds and eCredits. For certain significant schedule changes or delays, Delta says eligible customers who cancel may receive a refund to the original form of payment. Delta currently lists 1-800-847-0578 for refund-status questions during published weekday hours.

For any refund dispute, keep the ticket number, confirmation code, receipts, payment record, cancellation or delay notices, and copies of any written response from Delta.

Delta lists 1-800-323-2323 for SkyMiles members. Program rules and qualification requirements can change, so members should confirm current terms in their account before relying on a specific benefit.
