What Is Frontier Airlines?
Frontier Airlines is a U.S. ultra-low-cost carrier based in Denver, Colorado. Its model separates the base fare from many optional services such as carry-on bags, checked bags, seat assignments and certain bundles. Because the final trip cost can depend on selected extras, customers comparing fares should review the complete checkout total and baggage rules before purchase.
Suspicious Frontier Emails and Refund Requests
Checked November 2, 2026: Frontier’s official phishing warning confirms an active email campaign targeting customers. The airline says it does not send emails asking passengers to reconfirm reservations, re-enter card details or provide payment information to obtain a refund.
Check the reservation independently: Open Frontier’s official website or app yourself. Do not use links, reply addresses or contact numbers supplied in a suspicious message. If you entered payment details, contact your card issuer or financial institution.
The warning lists 801-401-9000 for questions about the notice. Frontier’s separate Customer Service page lists 602-333-5925, chat and WhatsApp for general support, with agents available 24/7. These are published routes; a successful call or support response was not tested.
The phishing notice does not identify where scammers obtained information or establish that a particular message resulted from a data breach. Accurate trip details alone should not be treated as proof that a message came from Frontier.
When sharing a review: Separate an impersonator’s conduct from Frontier’s response after you contacted the airline through a verified channel. Keep the original message and a private timeline of your request, the response and the outcome. Explain whether the reservation was confirmed, a promised refund actually posted or the issue remains unresolved. Positive, mixed and resolved support experiences are useful too. Do not publish booking confirmation codes, boarding passes, full email headers, card details or unredacted screenshots.
For suspicious refund or payment-confirmation messages, see ThinkItsAScam.com’s Frontier refund scam email guide. It explains how to check the message separately from an airline ticket or refund dispute.
Common Frontier Airlines Complaints
Recent public complaint and review sources show recurring themes involving delays and cancellations, baggage charges, denied or missed boarding, refund or credit disputes, difficulty resolving problems through support channels, and confusion over optional fees. These reports reflect individual experiences and are not a representative survey of all Frontier passengers.
Flight Delays, Cancellations and Rebooking
Frontier’s current customer-service page says passengers whose flights are canceled or delayed more than three hours on a domestic itinerary or six hours on an international itinerary can use Frontier’s rebooking/refund options. For missed connecting flights at the connecting airport, Frontier also publishes a separate rebooking route.
For assistance, Frontier currently lists 602-333-5925, live chat and WhatsApp, with agents available 24/7. Save the confirmation code, flight number, delay or cancellation notices, and any rebooking or refund confirmation.
Frontier Airlines Baggage Complaints
Baggage is a frequent source of complaints because Frontier charges separately for many bag types and enforces size and timing rules. Frontier’s current FAQ says personal items must be no larger than 14 x 18 x 8 inches, including handles, wheels and straps. Current rules also say check-in and checked-bag acceptance close one hour before scheduled departure.
For delayed, lost or damaged bags, Frontier provides a dedicated baggage assistance path from its Customer Service page. Report a baggage problem as quickly as possible and keep the bag tag, claim number, photos and receipts for essential replacement items.
Frontier Refunds and Travel Credits
Frontier provides a dedicated refund request route and separate rebooking/refund options for qualifying significant delays and cancellations. Refund eligibility depends on why the trip changed, the fare or bundle purchased, timing, and whether Frontier or the passenger initiated the cancellation.
For a refund or credit dispute, keep screenshots of the fare terms, the cancellation screen, the credit amount and expiration date, emails from Frontier, and any support transcript. If the booking was made through a third party, confirm whether Frontier or the seller controls the refund.
FRONTIER Miles and Discount Den Complaints
Frontier Miles and Discount Den can generate account, renewal, missing-mile and benefit questions. Use the Frontier account and Help Center first, then escalate through 24/7 phone, chat or WhatsApp support if the account cannot be corrected online. Save the membership number, transaction date and any promotional terms tied to the disputed benefit.
Frontier Airlines BBB Complaints
As checked on September 17, 2026, the Better Business Bureau headquarters profile for Frontier Airlines, Inc. displayed an F rating and stated that the company was not BBB accredited. The profile listed 4,405 complaints in the previous three years and 978 complaints closed in the previous 12 months. BBB cited failure to respond to a large number of complaints and unresolved complaints in its rating rationale.
The BBB profile covers Frontier’s headquarters and corporate-owned locations. Complaint counts are not a complaint rate and should be interpreted in the context of Frontier’s passenger volume.
Frontier Airlines Trustpilot Reviews
As checked on September 17, 2026, the main Trustpilot profile for flyfrontier.com displayed a 1.2 out of 5 TrustScore from 1,725 reviews. The profile showed 94% 1-star reviews and was labeled unclaimed with no history of asking for reviews.
Trustpilot reviews are voluntary and self-selected. They can highlight recurring issues, but they should not be treated as representative of all Frontier passengers.
How to File a Frontier Airlines Complaint

- Keep the confirmation code, flight number, travel date and route together.
- Save screenshots of fare terms, bag fees, seat fees, cancellation notices and credits.
- For airport issues, document the gate, time and names or descriptions of staff involved when practical.
- State the specific resolution you want, such as a refund, rebooking, baggage reimbursement or account correction.
- Keep the case number and continue through the same case when possible.
