Overview

Frigidaire reviews and complaints help readers understand appliance performance, warranty service, repairs, delivery and customer support. Share what worked well, what went wrong and how the company responded. Positive, neutral and negative firsthand experiences are welcome on ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 scale; 0 is a valid neutral rating.

This guide focuses on Frigidaire household appliances in the United States, including Gallery and Professional models. Browse the Appliances category or compare experiences with Whirlpool, GE Appliances and Samsung Appliances.

Frigidaire, Electrolux and Licensed Products

Frigidaire is an Electrolux Group brand. Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional are product series, not separate manufacturers. Electrolux-branded appliances should still be identified separately when seeking model-specific support or sharing a review.

Some Frigidaire-branded products are supplied under license. Curtis International identifies its Frigidaire trademark license and operates its own product-support and warranty routes. Do not assume that a compact or countertop appliance has the same warrantor or repair process as a full-size refrigerator. Check the model label, manual, seller and company named in the warranty.

  • Manufacturer warranty: Use the support route for the company responsible for your model.
  • Retailer return: Contact the seller about its return policy and any delivery or installation it arranged.
  • Frigidaire.com order: Use Frigidaire’s direct-order support and applicable product-category return terms.
  • Protection plan: Follow the contract’s administrator and claim instructions.
  • Installation or independent repair: Identify who performed the work and billed you; a workmanship claim may be separate from a product defect.
What to Include in a Frigidaire Review

A useful review identifies the appliance and explains the outcome. Reliable cooling, easy controls, good cooking results or a helpful technician can be just as useful as an unresolved complaint.

  • Refrigerators and freezers: Describe cooling, ice production, noise, storage and any repair result.
  • Ranges, cooktops and ovens: Explain cooking performance, temperature consistency, controls and service experiences.
  • Dishwashers: Include cleaning, drying, leaks, rack usability and maintenance.
  • Laundry and air products: Identify the model and distinguish performance from installation or room conditions.
  • Customer support: Describe response time, appointments, diagnosis, parts availability, charges and final resolution.

Include the approximate purchase date, seller, model, warranty status and number of visits. Keep your full serial number, address, phone number, private case references and unredacted receipts out of the public review.

Registration, Manuals and Warranty Coverage

Frigidaire’s registration guidance asks for the model, serial number and purchase date from your receipt. Registration helps organize support and warranty information; retain the receipt and delivery record as well.

Use the product-support search to find the exact model’s owner’s guide, installation instructions and warranty. A Gallery or Professional badge alone does not establish coverage.

Frigidaire’s current repair-booking information says most appliances have a one-year limited manufacturer warranty beginning on delivery. Some published model manuals describe the period from the original purchase date. Confirm the applicable start date and terms using your model’s document and purchase evidence rather than assuming every product has identical coverage.

Ask which parts and labor are covered, whether authorization is needed and whether there are additional component-specific periods. An appointment request is not itself a final coverage decision.

Warranty Exclusions and Claim Disputes

A published Frigidaire refrigerator owner’s guide describes coverage for qualifying defects when the appliance is properly installed, used and maintained. Its exclusions include food loss, commercial use, “as-is” purchases and visits to correct installation or explain operation. These examples are not a universal warranty for every Frigidaire model.

Read your own warranty for exclusions involving damage, maintenance, cosmetic issues, service access and other costs. Do not assume a manufacturer warranty will reimburse spoiled groceries, installation corrections or every incidental expense.

If a claim is denied, request the diagnosis and the specific warranty provision used. Keep photographs, invoices and the written decision. If a retailer’s installer caused the damage, pursue that workmanship issue with the responsible company separately from a manufacturing-defect claim.

Authorized Repairs, Parts and Protection Plans

Frigidaire’s repair information page distinguishes in-warranty service, fixed-price repairs and visits with a trip/diagnosis charge followed by parts and labor. Availability and pricing depend on the appliance and booking details. Confirm the applicable fee, scope and coverage before proceeding.

The booking tool requests the appliance type, delivery date and protection-plan information. If it cannot verify your date, contact support with your records rather than assuming an expired-warranty label is correct.

The repair information page provides a separate service-partner route for listed small appliances and air products at 1-888-845-7330. For a Curtis-supplied model, use its own paperwork and support route. Confirm which company is authorized to handle your specific appliance.

For delayed work, request the diagnosis, part number, expected availability and follow-up date. Before purchasing replacement parts, match the full model number and check the parts seller’s return policy and any repair authorization requirements.

Extended service agreements: Frigidaire’s service-contract transfer notice says Electrolux Warranty Corporation transferred obligations on its service-contract portfolio to OnPoint Warranty Solutions LLC, while Frigidaire continues administration and the existing service process. This notice concerns service contracts; it does not mean every manufacturer warranty or retailer plan has the same provider. Follow your contract and any transfer notice you received.

Frigidaire.com Returns and Retailer Purchases

The official shipping and return policy directs retailer purchases back to the seller. If you bought at Lowe’s or Home Depot, confirm that retailer’s rules instead of applying Frigidaire.com terms.

For direct major-appliance purchases, the policy allows returns of unused, uninstalled products within ten days of delivery. Service and installation fees are nonrefundable, and a 10% restocking fee may apply. After ten days it directs customers to warranty support.

Different categories have different conditions: room air conditioners and dehumidifiers have a 14-day window; vacuums have 30 days; unused consumables and accessories have 30 days. Packaging, included components and possible restocking fees matter. Obtain authorization and the current instructions before returning anything.

Inspect major appliances with the delivery partner on arrival. Photograph damage and report it promptly. A used appliance with a defect may require warranty service rather than an ordinary return.

Delivery, Installation and Haul-Away

For direct purchases, check the service options offered for your ZIP code and appliance. Frigidaire’s delivery-preparation guide provides general instructions and appliance-specific checklists. Measure doorways, hallways, stairs and the installation space, and clear the delivery path.

Confirm suitable power, water, gas and ventilation connections using the model’s installation instructions. Verify which hookup parts and services are included, and whether old-appliance removal has been arranged. Do not assume delivery includes every plumbing, electrical or cabinetry change needed in your home.

Record the delivery and installation companies on your order. If installation fails or property is damaged, retain photos and written notes and report the issue to the company that arranged that work.

Frigidaire Recalls and Licensed-Product Notices

Check the official recall directory against your exact model and serial number. The directory checked September 28, 2026 includes a March 2026 gas-oven-burner notice and earlier notices involving specific ranges, ice buckets, gas cooktops, laundry centers and ice makers. Open the relevant notice for eligibility and the remedy.

Licensed products can have separate campaigns. The CPSC’s January 15, 2026 expanded Curtis minifridge recall identifies Frigidaire-brand EFMIS121 units with limited serial numbers and a refund remedy for fire and burn hazards. Use that notice’s instructions and Curtis contact route if your unit matches.

A recall for one model does not mean every Frigidaire appliance is affected. Follow the applicable safety directions and keep recall case information separate from routine repairs.

How to Escalate a Frigidaire Complaint
  1. Prepare a short timeline with purchase and delivery dates, symptoms, service visits, diagnosis and promised actions.
  2. Contact Frigidaire through its official phone or chat route. Ask for a case reference, the next action and a follow-up date.
  3. Request supervisor review if earlier attempts have not resolved the issue. Ask for the reason and applicable warranty term if coverage is denied.
  4. Save chat transcripts and request written confirmation of repair, replacement or refund commitments. A request for a remedy is not a guarantee it will be approved.
  5. For a licensed product, retailer return, installer dispute or protection-plan claim, continue with the responsible company identified in the product or contract paperwork.
