About Electrolux
Editorial information by Eric Strand, founder and publisher of ZeroStars. This guidance is separate from user-submitted customer reviews. Dated figures in this guidance are historical snapshots; the header shows the current published rating. Expand a topic to read more.
Overview
Electrolux reviews can cover washers, dryers, laundry towers, refrigerators, dishwashers and cooking appliances, as well as warranty claims, repairs and customer service. Share what worked, what did not and how the company responded. ZeroStars accepts positive, neutral and negative experiences on a −5 to +5 scale, including 0 for a neutral or mixed result.
Electrolux is a household-appliance brand of Electrolux Group, which also markets Frigidaire in North America. Use our separate Frigidaire reviews page for Frigidaire-branded products. Related ownership does not make the brands’ support numbers or model warranties interchangeable. Electrolux Professional became a separate listed company in 2020; commercial equipment from that business should follow its own service route.

Writing a Useful Electrolux Review
Identify the appliance type, model, approximate age and seller. For laundry products, describe the load, selected cycle, cleaning or drying result, vibration, noise and any displayed error. For kitchen appliances, explain the affected function and whether the issue is constant or intermittent. Distinguish a technician’s diagnosis from your own observations.
A positive review might describe consistent performance or a prompt repair. A neutral review can explain acceptable results with limitations. A complaint is more useful with dates, service visits, parts delays, quoted charges and the final outcome. Name the retailer or contractor separately when delivery, installation or independent repairs were involved. Do not post full serial numbers, private case records or personal contact details.
Electrolux Laundry Warranties: Parts and Labor Are Different
Electrolux’s warranty booklet revised May 1, 2025 lists washing-machine coverage of one year including labor, followed by a second year of qualifying parts-only coverage, measured from delivery. It also lists the inner wash tub for the product’s functional life and non-cosmetic defects in the wash-tub drive motor for ten years, both excluding labor.
Longer component coverage does not mean every repair is free for that period. The booklet gives stacked washer-and-dryer sets their own terms, and other appliance categories differ. Check the warranty supplied with your exact model.
Listed laundry exclusions include commercial use, certain ownership transfers, as-is purchases, installation corrections, consumables, access costs and damage caused by misuse or unauthorized service. Ask support to explain the applicable exclusion and separate covered parts from labor, travel and other charges.
Save your receipt and delivery record alongside the model documents. When a booking system cannot establish your delivery date, contact support with the evidence rather than treating an automated coverage result as the final answer.
Authorized Repair Scheduling and Extended Service Plans
The official service page offers factory service and checks warranty eligibility during booking. At the source-check date it advertises fixed-price repairs starting at $190 and trip-charge repairs starting at $150, with actual pricing dependent on location, model and work needed. Fixed-price service includes the stated labor, parts and travel; the alternative begins with diagnosis and a repair estimate. Confirm the terms shown for your appointment.
If you have an Electrolux protection plan, identify it during booking. For a retailer plan or third-party home warranty, contact that administrator before independently authorizing work. A paid plan is separate from the original manufacturer warranty.
Electrolux also publishes information about OnPoint Warranty’s role in its service-contract program. Check your contract and any transfer notice to identify the responsible company and claims instructions. Shared service resources do not mean every Electrolux or Frigidaire claim follows identical terms.
Before the visit, ask whether the technician is authorized for the claim, what diagnosis costs if the issue is excluded, and whether a return visit or unavailable part changes the price. Keep the written estimate and completed service report.
Registration, Manuals and Compatible Parts
Registration helps organize the appliance record, but retain your receipt and delivery confirmation independently. Use the complete model number to find the owner’s guide, installation instructions and replacement parts; a similar-looking part may not fit another revision.
Electrolux’s Owner Center links to a parts storefront carrying the Frigidaire name. Follow that official link and select your Electrolux model rather than assuming parts are interchangeable between the brands. Ask support to confirm a part number when compatibility is unclear.
Returns, Refunds and Order Cancellations
For an Electrolux.com order, consult the shipping and return policy and contact Electrolux with the order number. Ask which deadline, product-condition requirements, pickup arrangements and fees apply to that purchase. A shipped order and an order collected through a retail partner may use different procedures. Obtain return authorization before sending an appliance back.
Electrolux’s cancellation guidance says cancellation may be possible and directs customers to contact support promptly. A cancellation request is not a confirmed cancellation; keep the written response.
If you bought directly from Best Buy, Home Depot or another retailer, request returns and exchanges through that seller’s policy. A manufacturer warranty claim concerns qualifying defects and does not automatically extend a retailer’s return window. Report damage promptly and preserve delivery paperwork and photographs.
Delivery and Laundry Installation
For brand-arranged delivery, review the Electrolux laundry installation guide. It requires accessible, functioning washer shutoff valves and a stacking kit when stacking compatible front-load units. Its installation teams do not place a new appliance on an existing pedestal or add a new pedestal beneath an existing machine; pedestal installation is described for a matching appliance purchased with it.
The guide also says the delivery team cannot perform propane installation and directs customers to a licensed propane contractor. Check the model’s installation instructions and confirm hookups, vent clearance, stacking hardware and the services purchased before arrival.
Delivery, installation and haul-away should be confirmed separately on your order. Retailer-arranged and independent installation agreements have their own scope. Keep installation defects, missed delivery appointments and appliance defects distinct when describing the problem to support or in a review.
Electrolux Recalls and Icemaker Safety
The June 2022 icemaker recall announcement includes certain Electrolux multi-door refrigerators as well as specified Frigidaire models. A detector arm can break and enter the ice bucket, creating a choking hazard.
Use the official icemaker recall checker to compare both model and serial number. The notice tells affected owners to empty the ice bucket, stop using the icemaker until replacement and arrange a free in-home replacement. Other serial numbers are not automatically included. Check recall eligibility separately from the ordinary warranty and follow the applicable notice’s instructions.
Escalating an Unresolved Electrolux Issue
Follow up with the existing case number and a short timeline: delivery, first fault, diagnosis, repair visits, parts ordered and promised next steps. State the outcome you seek and request supervisor review if the original contact cannot resolve the issue. Ask for a written explanation of a coverage denial or disputed charge.
Keep retailer refunds with the seller, protection-plan claims with the administrator and independent installation or repair disputes with the contractor involved. Record what each company agreed to do. A ZeroStars review can document the experience and later resolution, but it does not submit a service claim to Electrolux.

Frequently asked questions
Electrolux FAQs
Are Electrolux and Frigidaire the same brand?
No. Both are Electrolux Group brands, but use the support route and warranty for the brand and model you own.
Does the ten-year washer motor warranty cover all repair costs?
No. Selected component coverage has its own limits. Check the warranty discussion above and your model’s documents before authorizing labor or other charges.
Where do I schedule Electrolux service?
Use the official repair-booking link above or call customer support. Identify whether the request is under the manufacturer warranty, a protection plan or a paid repair.
Can Electrolux process a retailer’s return?
Start with the company that sold you the appliance. Direct Electrolux orders, retail-partner pickup orders and purchases directly from a retailer can have different return procedures.
Can I rate Electrolux positively or choose 0?
Yes. Choose any rating from −5 to +5, including 0 for a neutral or mixed experience. Explain the product’s performance and how service affected the outcome.
