Overview
Mazda reviews and complaints can help other drivers understand a vehicle, dealership, warranty, repair, financing, roadside-assistance or connected-service experience. Share what happened, which Mazda model or service you used and whether the issue was resolved. Positive, neutral and negative experiences are welcome on ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 rating scale.
Mazda sells cars, SUVs, crossovers, hybrids and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the United States and supports owners through authorized Mazda dealers, the Mazda Customer Experience Center, Mazda Roadside Assistance, the MyMazda app, Mazda Connected Services and Mazda Financial Services. The editorial information below summarizes selected official support, warranty, recall and ownership information; it is separate from customer reviews and does not represent a survey of Mazda owners.
What to Include in Your Mazda Review
A useful Mazda review gives enough detail for another consumer to understand the experience without exposing personal information:
- Vehicle: model, model year, trim or powertrain and approximate mileage.
- Dealer or service location: dealership name and city or state.
- What happened: sales issue, repair concern, warranty decision, recall, financing problem, roadside event or connected-service issue.
- Timeline: approximate dates, number of visits and how long the vehicle was unavailable.
- Resolution: what the dealer, Mazda or Mazda Financial Services offered and whether the issue was corrected.
Choose the rating that reflects your own experience. A rating of 0 is valid. Do not post your full VIN, finance account number, MyMazda credentials, license plate, home address, phone number or unredacted service documents.
Warranty and Repair Concerns
Mazda’s current U.S. warranty information lists a 3-year/36,000-mile New-Vehicle Limited Warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, whichever comes first, subject to the applicable warranty booklet, exclusions and vehicle-specific terms.
Mazda also provides separate coverage for safety restraints, corrosion, emissions and electrified-vehicle components. Owners should check the warranty booklet supplied with their exact model and model year for the authoritative terms.
If you dispute a warranty decision, ask the dealer to identify the warranty provision being applied and request a written repair order showing the complaint, diagnosis, parts replaced and final disposition. Keep every repair order, including visits where no repair was completed.
Hybrid and High-Voltage Battery Coverage
For eligible Mazda hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, Mazda currently lists 8 years or 100,000 miles of high-voltage battery coverage, whichever comes first. Mazda’s current materials list the CX-50 Hybrid battery pack at 8 years/100,000 miles and the CX-70 PHEV and CX-90 PHEV high-voltage battery and capacity coverage at the same term, subject to the applicable warranty conditions.
In certain California-emissions states, extended emissions-related battery coverage can apply to qualifying vehicles. Owners should verify coverage using the specific warranty booklet and emissions label for their vehicle.
Recalls and Special Service Programs
Mazda provides recall and Special Service Program information through MyMazda and its official owner resources. Owners can search by VIN to determine whether a vehicle is affected by an open recall or service program.
If your review involves a recall or service program, include the recall or campaign number if you know it, when you contacted the dealer, whether parts or software were available, how long the repair took and whether the remedy was completed. Avoid posting your full VIN publicly.
Roadside Assistance
Mazda lists 1-800-866-1998 for 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance in the United States and Canada. Mazda currently includes roadside coverage for the 3-year/36,000-mile New-Vehicle Limited Warranty period, whichever comes first.
If a Mazda is not drivable because of a warranted powertrain failure, Mazda says towing to the nearest Mazda dealer can remain covered during the 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty period, subject to program terms.
If your complaint involves roadside assistance, document the request time, location, estimated arrival time, towing destination and any charge you were asked to approve.
Mazda Financial Services: Payments, Loans and Leases
Mazda Financial Services handles financing and leasing for many Mazda customers. Its current Continental U.S. Customer Service number is 1-866-693-2332, with representatives available Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Central.
Existing customers can use Mazda Financial Services account tools for payments, statements, payoff information and other account-management functions. If your complaint involves a payment, payoff or lease, keep the payment confirmation, date, amount and any written account status or payoff quote. Distinguish between the Mazda dealer and Mazda Financial Services when describing who handled each part of the issue.
Dealer Sales and Service Issues
A Mazda purchase, trade-in, repair or warranty experience may involve both an independently operated Mazda dealer and Mazda North American Operations. In a review, distinguish between what the dealer said or did and what Mazda’s Customer Experience Center said or did.
For a sales concern, keep the buyer’s order, advertised offer, financing or lease documents and any written promises. For repairs, keep each repair order and note whether the same symptom returned. If you escalate a concern to Mazda, save the case or reference number and record the outcome.
MyMazda and Connected Services
The MyMazda app and Mazda Connected Services can provide eligible remote vehicle functions, vehicle status, service information and other connected features. Available features depend on the vehicle, model year, hardware, cellular coverage, account status and active service plan.
Mazda currently offers Connected Services on supported vehicles with a trial period before subscription charges may apply. If your complaint involves connected services, record the vehicle, app or software version when possible, the date the issue began and whether the feature worked through another device or account.
Service Scheduling and Maintenance Records
Mazda owner resources provide access to maintenance schedules, owner manuals, warranty information, service history and dealer support. Dealer appointment availability, diagnosis and repair timing can vary by location.
When reviewing a maintenance or repair experience, include the service requested, the dealer’s diagnosis, the estimate, whether additional work was recommended and whether the final invoice matched what you authorized.
