Overview

Mercedes-Benz reviews and complaints can help other drivers understand a vehicle, dealership, warranty, repair, financing, roadside-assistance or connected-service experience. Share what happened, which Mercedes-Benz model or service you used and whether the issue was resolved. Positive, neutral and negative experiences are welcome on ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 rating scale.

Mercedes-Benz sells luxury cars, SUVs, performance vehicles and electric models in the United States and supports owners through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers, Customer Care, Roadside Assistance, the Mercedes-Benz app, Connected Car Services and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. The editorial information below summarizes selected official support, warranty, recall and ownership information; it is separate from customer reviews and does not represent a survey of Mercedes-Benz owners.

What to Include in Your Mercedes-Benz Review

A useful Mercedes-Benz review gives enough detail for another consumer to understand the experience without exposing personal information:

  • Vehicle: model, model year, trim, engine or electric powertrain and approximate mileage.
  • Dealer or service location: dealer name and city or state.
  • What happened: sales issue, repair concern, warranty decision, recall, financing problem, roadside event or connected-service issue.
  • Timeline: approximate dates, number of visits and how long the vehicle was unavailable.
  • Resolution: what the dealer, Mercedes-Benz Customer Care or Mercedes-Benz Financial Services offered and whether the issue was corrected.

Choose the rating that reflects your own experience. A rating of 0 is valid. Do not post your full VIN, Financial Services account number, Mercedes-Benz app credentials, license plate, home address, phone number or unredacted service documents.

Warranty and Repair Concerns

Mercedes-Benz’s current U.S. materials describe the New Vehicle Limited Warranty as 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, subject to the applicable warranty booklet, exclusions and vehicle-specific terms.

Mercedes-Benz also offers separate emissions, electric-vehicle battery and other coverage that can vary by model and model year. For an authoritative answer, use the warranty booklet supplied with your specific vehicle and compare it with the current owner information for that model.

If you dispute a warranty decision, ask the dealer to identify the warranty provision being applied and request a written repair order showing the complaint, diagnosis, parts replaced and final disposition. Keep every repair order, including visits where no repair was completed.

Recalls and Safety Campaigns

Mercedes-Benz provides recall information through its official owner and support resources. Recall remedies are performed through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers, and owners should use their VIN to check whether a campaign applies to a specific vehicle.

If your review involves a recall or campaign, include the recall number if you know it, when you contacted the dealer, whether parts or software were available, how long the repair took and whether the remedy was completed. Avoid posting your full VIN publicly.

Roadside Assistance

Mercedes-Benz lists 1-800-367-6372 for Roadside Assistance and says help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Eligible vehicles under a Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Extended Limited Warranty or Certified Pre-Owned Warranty can receive complimentary roadside soft services, subject to program terms.

Roadside services can include flat-tire assistance, battery jump-starts for eligible non-EV vehicles, fuel delivery and towing. Mercedes-Benz currently states that towing to the nearest authorized dealer can be complimentary when the repair is completed there, subject to the roadside program’s eligibility and restrictions.

If your complaint involves roadside assistance, document the request time, location, estimated arrival time, towing destination and any charge you were asked to approve.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services: Payments, Loans and Leases

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services handles financing and leasing for many Mercedes-Benz customers. Its current Client Service Center number is 1-800-654-6222, with representatives available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Eastern.

Existing customers can use Mercedes-Benz Financial Services account tools to manage payments, Auto Pay and other account information. If your complaint involves a payment, payoff, lease or account issue, keep the payment confirmation, date, amount and any written account status or payoff quote. Distinguish between the selling dealer and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services when describing who handled each part of the issue.

Dealer Sales and Service Issues

A Mercedes-Benz purchase, trade-in, repair or warranty experience may involve both an independently operated authorized dealer and Mercedes-Benz USA. In a review, distinguish between what the dealer said or did and what Mercedes-Benz Customer Care said or did.

For a sales concern, keep the buyer’s order, advertised offer, financing or lease documents and any written promises. For repairs, keep each repair order and note whether the same symptom returned. If you escalate a concern to Mercedes-Benz Customer Care, save the case or reference number and record the outcome.

Mercedes-Benz App and Connected Car Services

The Mercedes-Benz app can provide eligible remote functions, vehicle status, charging information, service features and other connected services. Available features depend on the vehicle, model year, hardware, cellular coverage, account status and active service package.

Mercedes-Benz lists 1-800-367-6372 for Connected Car Services support. If your complaint involves a connected feature, record the vehicle, app or software version when possible, the date the issue began and whether the feature worked through another device or account.

Maintenance and Prepaid Service Plans

Mercedes-Benz offers optional prepaid maintenance plans for new and pre-owned vehicles. Current Mercedes-Benz materials describe routine maintenance intervals of about once per year or every 10,000 miles, unless the vehicle’s Maintenance Booklet specifies otherwise.

If your review involves scheduled maintenance, identify which service was due, whether it was part of a prepaid plan and whether any additional work was recommended or charged separately.

Electric Vehicle Battery and Charging Issues

Mercedes-Benz provides model-specific high-voltage battery coverage for eligible electric vehicles. Terms can vary by vehicle, so owners should review the exact warranty booklet or battery certificate for their model rather than assuming one battery warranty applies across the lineup.

For a charging complaint, note whether the issue occurred at home or at a public charger, the charger type, any error message, the approximate battery state of charge and whether the vehicle charged normally elsewhere. That detail can help readers understand whether the issue appeared specific to the vehicle, charger or location.
