Overview

Lexus reviews and complaints can help other drivers understand a vehicle, dealership, warranty, repair, financing, roadside-assistance or connected-service experience. Share what happened, which Lexus model or service you used and whether the issue was resolved. Positive, neutral and negative experiences are welcome on ZeroStars’ −5 to +5 rating scale.

Lexus sells luxury cars, SUVs, hybrids and electric vehicles in the United States and supports owners through authorized Lexus dealers, the Lexus Brand Engagement Center, Lexus Roadside Assistance, LexusCare, the Lexus app and Lexus Financial Services. The editorial information below summarizes selected official support, warranty, recall and ownership information; it is separate from customer reviews and does not represent a survey of Lexus owners.

What to Include in Your Lexus Review

A useful Lexus review gives enough detail for another consumer to understand the experience without exposing personal information:

  • Vehicle: model, model year, trim or powertrain and approximate mileage.
  • Dealer or service location: dealership name and city or state.
  • What happened: sales issue, repair concern, warranty decision, recall, financing problem, roadside event or connected-service issue.
  • Timeline: approximate dates, number of visits and how long the vehicle was unavailable.
  • Resolution: what the dealer, Lexus or Lexus Financial Services offered and whether the issue was corrected.

Choose the rating that reflects your own experience. A rating of 0 is valid. Do not post your full VIN, finance account number, Lexus app credentials, license plate, home address, phone number or unredacted service documents.

Warranty and Repair Concerns

LexusCare currently includes a 4-year/50,000-mile Basic Warranty on new Lexus vehicles, subject to the applicable Warranty and Services Guide, exclusions and whichever limit comes first.

Lexus also provides separate powertrain, restraint-system, corrosion, emissions, hybrid and electric-vehicle coverage. Lexus has long listed 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain coverage on new vehicles, subject to model-specific terms and the applicable warranty guide.

If you dispute a warranty decision, ask the dealer to identify the warranty provision being applied and request a written repair order showing the complaint, diagnosis, parts replaced and final disposition. Keep every repair order, including visits where no repair was completed.

Hybrid Battery and Electrified Vehicle Coverage

For model-year 2020 and newer Lexus hybrids, Lexus lists a 10-year/150,000-mile Hybrid Battery Warranty, whichever comes first. Other hybrid-system components generally retain separate 8-year/100,000-mile coverage, subject to the applicable warranty terms.

Battery-electric Lexus models have model-specific high-voltage battery and EV-system coverage. Owners should use the warranty guide for their exact vehicle rather than assuming one electrified-vehicle term applies across the entire Lexus lineup.

Recalls and Safety Campaigns

Lexus provides vehicle-specific recall information through its owner resources and authorized dealers. Use your VIN to check whether a safety recall or service campaign applies to your vehicle.

If your review involves a recall or campaign, include the recall or campaign number if you know it, when you contacted the dealer, whether parts or software were available, how long the repair took and whether the remedy was completed. Avoid posting your full VIN publicly.

Roadside Assistance

Lexus Roadside Assistance is available at 1-800-255-3987. LexusCare materials state that new-vehicle roadside coverage is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for 48 months from the vehicle’s in-service date, regardless of mileage, subject to program terms.

Roadside help can include towing and other emergency services. Lexus also offers enhanced roadside features on select vehicles when eligible connected-service requirements are met.

If your complaint involves roadside assistance, document the request time, location, estimated arrival time, towing destination and any expense you were asked to approve.

Lexus Financial Services: Payments, Loans and Leases

Lexus Financial Services handles financing and leasing for many Lexus customers. Its current Continental U.S. Customer Service number is 1-800-874-7050, with representatives available Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. local time.

Existing customers can use Lexus Financial Services account tools for payments, statements, payoff information and other account-management functions. If your complaint involves a payment, payoff or lease, keep the payment confirmation, date, amount and any written account status or payoff quote. Distinguish between the Lexus dealer and Lexus Financial Services when describing who handled each part of the issue.

Dealer Sales and Service Issues

A Lexus purchase, trade-in, repair or warranty experience may involve both an independently operated Lexus dealer and Lexus corporate support. In a review, distinguish between what the dealer said or did and what the Lexus Brand Engagement Center said or did.

For a sales concern, keep the buyer’s order, advertised offer, financing or lease documents and any written promises. For repairs, keep each repair order and note whether the same symptom returned. If you escalate a concern to Lexus, save the case or reference number and record the outcome.

Lexus App and Connected Services

The Lexus app and connected services can provide eligible remote vehicle functions, vehicle status, service features, roadside support and other connected tools. Available features depend on the vehicle, model year, hardware, cellular coverage, account status and active service plan.

If your complaint involves a connected feature, record the vehicle, app or software version when possible, the date the issue began and whether the feature worked through another device or account.

LexusCare and Complimentary Maintenance

LexusCare currently includes the first two complimentary scheduled maintenance visits on new Lexus vehicles. Lexus materials place those visits at the earlier of 6 months/5,000 miles and 12 months/10,000 miles, subject to the Warranty and Services Guide.

If your review involves scheduled maintenance, identify which service was due, whether the dealer said it was covered and whether any additional work was recommended or charged separately.
